Hello to everyone!
I'm Alex and I'm a newbie in all this grill things. But I'm ready to start learning how to make delicious BBQ and smoked meat. I decided to start with the choosing of a good grill. While I was surfing the internet, I've found lots of grill models.
As I understood there are some types of grills:
- Gas Grills. I've found lots of them on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Gas-Grills/b?ie= ... 0124193011
- Charcoal grills. There are many variants of them on Walmart site https://www.walmart.com/browse/patio-ga ... 87_5983914
- Electric Grills. I've found a source with pros and cons of many models https://grillguru.org/best-electric-grill/
- Wood Burning Grills. Amazon top is- https://www.amazon.com/slp/wood-burning ... yxgz9uz6bp
Here are some questions:
1)Which type of grill is easier to use for a newbie?
2)Which type of grill is more economical?
3) What are the advantages and disadvantages of every types?
4) What should I know before deciding which type I need?

All the advice is welcomed.
Thank you in advance,

Alex

If you're a complete newbie and want to learn first and then dive into more complex BBQ'ing later then I would undoubtedly just start with a Gas Grill to begin with. Find one that's not too big. Electric Grills are the easiest but won't develop any real bbq flavor, you'll just waste money. With the gas grill you won't have to pick up charcoal and wood all the time, if you're using it once or twice a week then you will have to fill up your propane tank maybe once or twice, at most for a newbie (10$ refill where I live but average is about $18-$20) for 3 months, very very very affordable. Charcoal and wood can add up, especially if you're using it more than once or twice a week.

It certainly won't taste as good but you can use that gas grill as a smoker in the mean time for Ribs, pork shoulder ect........ Just make sure you purchase a smoker box for like 20-30 bucks. Buy applewood chunks, all newbies use that for most meat. Harsher wood like mesquite is better for beef, apple/cherry wood is perfect for chicken and pork.
