this bullpen would never hold up in the post-season. i have no faith in either Duran or Jax. you can't blow this save with the way this team is going and you get eight scoreless innings in an SWR start. i have more faith in Stewart to be clutch than those two.

Castro isn't a very good outfielder. mediocre arm imo. can't make the catch in the 10th. Twins get swept and walked off two games in a row. oh well.

I only watched a few innings, but SWR was in complete control. Another instance where they decided beforehand that he was not going to face the lineup a 3rd time.

Mauricio Dubon’s walkoff had a .180 xBA. Basically, Buxton being hurt and Bader not in LF ended the game. Would have been a good spot for Keirsey Jr. too.

Well, I must be honest. I didn’t think they had a snowballs chance in hell. With SWR starting, with the opponent putting a starting LHP on the mound, and with the abysmal state of the offense all conspiring against them I figured another blowout loss. I was wrong but am beyond frustrated that this team blew what should have been a W. A W when they desperately needed one.

In a season of inconsistency one consistent is their meek and feeble attempts to score runs against an opponent with a LHP starter. Even if it’s some scrub (like Patrick Corbin earlier in the week) or some journeyman douche (like who they faced this afternoon).

That said they’ll see another LHP in their next game (this is something we should get use to as opposing managers will start setting up their rotations to ram LHP down their throats) and this guy is actually a pretty good hurler (Abbott) so this losing streak will turn into at least a 5 gamer. Buckle up.

On a related note, if I were RB I wouldn’t have much of a leash left for Duran before I’d start giving the ball to Stewart to try to close out some of these games with very narrow leads.
