5 or 6, yeah. That’s how I see it.

We aren’t a serious team. And we proved it over and over again this year. It wouldn’t shock me if they pulled the upset, they are talented, but it would be an upset.
You picking the upset? :naners:
No.

This team has taught me all year not to count on them. I'm not going to start now.
After we disperse of the Lakers
you gonna change your attitude?

I'm ready for Rudy and Randle to exorcise their cursed playoff demons in this series and prove doubters wrong but it will take a lot of scheming from Finch and a little luck along the way.

Wolves in 7 against a rowdy fan base like we did last year with Den would be icing. If they allow physicality, I think we have the edge.

How do the Lakers match up against the Timberwolves entering their playoff series?

I would like them to win but I don't have much faith in the team build. Been checked out for most of the season because of it (and their style of play). They remind me of this seasons Vikings. Just eeking by, ready to be trounced in the playoffs. I think this match-up is quite unfavorable.

You could be right, but I hope you’re wrong. The way I see it, opponents have been just eeking by us. Every team has its flaws. The Mavs offered Luka for Edwards. The Wolves turned them down. Edwards simply has to prove the Wolves right.

We just had the wolves 6th most successful regular season. It was annoying at times since we easily could have been the 2nd or 3rd seed, but it really does seem like people are only happy when we're struggling to win 20 games and rooting for the lottery balls this time of year.

Seed doesn't matter in the West. Out of the current top 8, I bet most teams would choose #2 seed Houston to be their first round matchup if they could.

Ant did lead the league in clutch scoring with 157 points, granted that was because a lot of our games ended up in the clutch. Only 4 players had 140+ clutch points, and only 8 players had more than 100 clutch time points this year.

i only follow the Wolves. the only real info for me to process is the last game they played against the Lakers without Rudy and Julius. they had a brutal first quarter, LeBron had a great night, they were hitting a lot of threes, Ant got tossed for two Ts and the Wolves still made it a clutch time game if i'm remembering correctly. Luka was off with his shot, but still i'm surprised that the espn people didn't have one person who would pick the "upset".

I don't think it'll be a sweep, we always see a team get up 2-0/3-0 and take a game off.

But I do think it'll be Lakers in 5 because of your points.

Wolves will get behind and Ant or Randle will try to play hero ball and Wolves lose.
I still work, but the light in me is gone.

So it looks like you are making the same prediction that you made in the Phoenix Wolves series last year.

Suns in 4.

I don't think it'll be in four, but I don't know if it'll be S/S/S/W/S or S/S/W/S/S.

But since it's +4300 for the first option and +5500 for the second, I might throw $100 at each option.

Gonna have my kid check again tonight to see what the odds are.

Just don't know which game the Suns will take off.

It was only +900 for a Suns sweep last night.

Sun's in 5?

That's what I think.

More than a straight sweep.

Of course all the experts picked the Lakers. The ratings are in the toilet and they absolutely know the league will help the lakers advance to draw higher ratings. Refs will not allow the wolves to advance.

You must’ve found it weird and funny when this historically inept and moribund franchise won their way to the western conference finals last season. And if I recall right, the Suns and Nuggets were both favored over the Wolves.
Is it a requirement to bitch and complain and point out negativity to be a well-adjusted, realistic fan?

At least I gave them a win. Lightning says a straight sweep.

I'm a 52-year-old that's watched Minnesota sports all his life.

There's two whole championships out of four major sports teams.

I am a realist.

I will say I did enjoy watching the Timberwolves versus Mavericks while on a cruise in Alaska. It was a bit surprising watching Timberwolves basketball that late into the spring / early summer.

It was even better at halftime of game 3 when I was dinking around on a slot machine and hit a $12,000 jackpot on a $3 bet. My kids still laughs about taking my picture of me standing in front of the jackpot with my Jaden McDaniel's jersey on, on a cruise in Alaska.

I thought it was great and I enjoyed the run! 2004 was fun, too. The next 20 years were... not so fun.

No, it's not a requirement to complain but it does come with the territory when we're talking about one of the very worst professional sports franchises in US history. And, with this year's team and coaching staff that have struggled for long stretches, it's realistic to expect very little.

Finney-Smith will probably get more minutes than Hayes
if he does, and we don't take advantage, we'll be in deep doo doo. Finney-Smith is a nice sized SMALL FORWARD (6-7 220 6-11 WS with a 32 inch no step vertical). He's a fine role player - but Rudy, Naz, Randle and Jaden should all be able to beat the hell out of him on the glass.

I think teams don't want to play us - due to our volatility. And I don't think they want to play the Clippers - due to them killing it lately and looking like a realistic contender.

We aren’t a serious team. And we proved it over and over again this year. It wouldn’t shock me if they pulled the upset, they are talented, but it would be an upset.
Zero expectations on my end. Who knows which Timberwolves team will show up? The one that scored 52 points in the third quarter against the Grizzlies - or the one that scored 13 points in the fourth quarter against the Bucks in the game prior?

Agreed, Dorian feels like Royce O'Neale last year for Phoenix and we shut his water off.

Looking back at this season, I wish I wasn't nearly as negative as I was. Mostly because I wasn't pleased in the style of play and Finchy not going deeper in the bench. That's all over now! I'm nothing but positive moving forward and am not being a wise guy when I predict the Wolves in 5. They're the better team.

For all of those predicting the Lakers taking the series, I hope fat AI version Luka visits you in your dreams and strokes you off. Let that bounce around in your head all week!

This is why I don't trust them in a 7 game series. In a one-and-done, they could beat anyone. But over time inconsistency tends to kill.
