You must have missed me assigning Jackson Hawes from Ga Tech.Small Hands wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 8:53 amLol okay. Pick someone for me. I’m swamped this morning. Sorry
I thought when you said for Evans after that was you saying you didn’t want Hawes, but if that’s not the case then we can just stick with him,

With pick 255 the Cleveland Browns select
Arian Smith WR Georgia 6-0 179
Literally track sprinter speed that can run past the deepest shell coverage defenses can throw out there. Uses speed well to set up other routes although his route running is still underdeveloped. Basically a guy you send right at the defense and let them worry about the speed. Questionable hands, especially on routine catches. Easy comp to Mecole Hardman.

I googled him after you mentioned an IOL riser climbing the draft boards.
The Chargers needed IOL and this kid should have been ranked at least in the 5th or 6th round, but being from a Division III school, I can see why he didn't get much attention early on.

Re: 2025 FROOB NFL MOCK DRAFT Mlhouse OTC
This break dancing fool will be a major hit with the Mr Irrelevant committee, as he will eat up the festivities.
But that's not the only reason we're taking him with the final pick of the draft.
Here's what was written about why you should still be high on him even after a lackluster combine performance...
"He’s not flashy. He’s not a Ferrari. But he’s an F-250 with brake fluid in his veins and cement in his chest.
As mentioned above, his 4.6 40 and 34-inch vertical jump aren't going to wow you, but the short area quickness is plenty as evidenced by his above average 10 yard split at 1.54 seconds. (The average NFL running back 10 yard split is 1.58)
We're talking "muscles flowing out his eyelids and earlobes" type guy. No h2o in his Gatorade bottle, just strictly protein. So to be built like that and still have the lateral and short-area quickness is impressive to say the least.
5’8”, 211 pounds—and plays like he’s 250. That’s Deebo Samuel density with four inches less surface area. And what he lacks in "pop,” he makes up for with vision, contact balance, and pure, unfiltered violence.
This man does not fumble either. 670 career carries. ZERO fumbles.
He seeks contact like it owes him money, and he’ll meet you in the hole with pads low, legs churning, and zero fear. But what really sets him apart? Pass protection. He doesn’t just chip you. He deletes you straight into oblivion. "
The Kansas City Chiefs select RB Kyle Monangai from Rutgers
Earlier in the draft we select a more all around, dynamic RB in DJ Giddens, and now we'll give him the power complement.
Great 1-2 combo for the future 3 years, and will allow us to let go of the remaining lot of RB guys that have been helping our SB offense hang on by a thread.

I appreciate everyone, and added appreciation to everyone that stuck around so long.
I had no idea how many people would make it the distance this year.

The Vikings have been on the phone with free agents for a long time and bring in these guys to camp.
From top 30 visits
RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt Arizona A guy with top level acceleration to compete with Ty Chandler
C Jacob Bayer Arkansas St.
DT Nazir Stackhouse Georgia
DT Warren Brinson GEorgia
CB Zemiah Vaughn Utah 6-3 zone type corner
I would add these
LaJohntay Wester WR Colorado He would probably start first team punt return on depth chart. 182 receptions for over 2000 yards and 15tds last two seasons at Florida Atlantic and Colorado
Isaiah Neyor WR Nebraska 6-4 218 lbs with 4.40 speed. Size speed guy with huge catch radius but injury prone college career.
Craig Woodson S Cal Reminds me a lot of Bynum
IF I am a UDFA Tight End the VIkings only have two on their roster so it would be a prime landing spot.
I woould target Miliki Matavao UCLA and CJ Dippre Alabama

Fun draft. Oriole, you're the MVP. Thank you for facilitating this again. You spent countless hours on here managing the draft. It always goes smoothly because of your work.
Patriots and Bengals easily had the best drafts. Easily. Not even debatable. Unbelieveable GM'ing. Ha.
On to the real thing. LFG!

Re: 2025 FROOB NFL MOCK DRAFT Mlhouse OTC
I had a hard time between him and Lampkin in the fifth - but went with Willie because he also has some experience as a blocking FB/TE which is something the Titans also need. Then, again, it was between him and Jake Majors in the sixth for the Broncos - and I went with Majors because they need more a C - and Majors' 4 years excelling at Texas in that role just swayed me in his direction. But I think Perry has a very good chance to make a roster and get significant PT. Glad you followed my trail of bread crumbs!Butch Bradford wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 10:26 amAppreciate the heads up, yum!somuchyummy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 10:16 amYou got him! Nice work. We should all rank our drafts based on where people go in the real draft. If we get a steal, we get points. If we overdraft a guy, we lose points.
So kind of system like that.
Also, bumping and analyzing past Froob drafts to see who truly got value would be fun too.

i think i'm going to have some real bargains on my board - and then some i totally overdrafted. may wind up with a net zero if I'm lucky - BUT ... i will say I mostly drafted the guys I had my eyes on and was excited to draft. The real test, as you said, is harder to quantify - did they succeed as pros?Beef Supreme wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 1:12 pm We should all rank our drafts based on where people go in the real draft. Past a certain point (maybe starting RD3?) bonus points if you nail the right player for your team at the exact right pick.
That's the best feeling.

Maybe, who won each round?
