Will DOGE cut farm subsidies?

Post by Voltron »

The new DOGE (department of government efficiency) is looking to cut federal spending.

It seems that the defense budget and interest payments on the debt will be hard to cut from.

Social security, Medicare, unemployment insurance also seem hard to cut from. This would hurt old people and poor people.

Then there's spending on veteran's benefits, infrastructure, and farm subsidies.

Out of all those things, I think farm subsidies would get the least amount of blowback to cut out. Cutting anything else would hurt too many people.

I actually put my money on Medicaid being cut. The boys in charge have no time for handouts, not even for their own voters

I actually think these boys would be happy to cut anything that hurts people, especially poor people! They don't like poor people at all.

After all, poor people only have themselves to blame. If only they weren't so lazy and understood what hard work is, they wouldn't be so poor.

Poor people should get off their lazy asses and go to trade school.

Another path to success would be to leverage your family's wealth from the emerald mining industry to buy a bunch of businesses. I don't understand why all these poor people don't consider doing something like that.

I'm looking forward to when those two big boys finally collide and have to work out who is top dog. Younger boys might do it via physical scrap, but with these two it will be a freak show, like grizzly bear vs gorilla

The whole administration, really, will amount to a series of petty squabbles between a rotating cast of Bond villains

I agree it'll be especially interesting to see what happens when these two big boys butt heads

Will "big daddy" intercede, and in whose favor?
