They go to Baltimore on Monday, so there's no wiggle room on the backend. I'd assume they call up Woods Richardson to start game 2, or go strict bullpen. They really have no other options, other than moving Dobnak to the 40-man.

Every rainout/delay is good for the Twins. It is one more day of Royce Lewis to recover and one less game he has to miss.

To have any chance at a decent season they have to absolutely destroy the central, like only a few losses against each team . losing home opening series against Cle and demolished in a Lopez start against Det is just great.

On a news feed on my phone… there was a post on Twitter/X from someone from Detroit who was flying back home from MSP.

He posted a picture of Woods Richardson walking ahead of him with a packed Twins duffle bag/luggage getting on the flight he was on.

So yeah… I’d guess your assumption is right.

I'd guess since he threw 2 innings yesterday, they can't use him today, so they wanted another arm. Can't imagine there's anyone that would claim him anyway.
