one hit--and royce lewis probably isn't going to be back until june at the earliest. i read somewhere that it could be after the all-star game.

Twins front office tries to put a good face on this news but it is devastating, absolutely devastating....weimy froob wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 3:24 pm one hit--and royce lewis probably isn't going to be back until june at the earliest. i read somewhere that it could be after the all-star game.

Off to a less than stellar start to the season...LONG way to go though rubes, long way to go.

It’s still early, but it’s tough not to be more than a little concerned at this point. This offense is pitiful and that putting it kindly. I mean it’d be one thing if they’d faced a buzz saw of good teams with high quality starting pitching, but it’s been anything but. To not get anything going against a completely and utterly washed up Carlos Carassco is alarming. Better win tomorrow because the Dodgers come to town for three right after. A very real possibility this team goes 0-6 at home to begin the season. If you’re trying to miss the playoffs that’s a good place to start.

And what the fuck is with this new timeline with Lewis? Now we basically get him back for half the season (at best) for a quad strain? I mean wtf is that all about. Was there some kind of setback or something?
On a related note, you just know Buck and Correa sooner rather than later will also end up on the injured list. In both cases probably to injuries that they never really fully recover from until the offseason, even if they can manage to come back and play through them.
I mean seriously what is with this game in 2024? It wasn’t that long ago when Mauer was missing huge chunks of seasons, but in said seasons very little injury damage besides those, especially for position players. Now it’s like half the damn team misses at least half the games. It’s not just a Twins problem either although of course it hits them harder than most pretty much every season.

Minnesota Twins
@Twins
Today's game has been postponed until August 9th due to weather.
not a very difficult decision to make the way this team is swinging the bats right now. friday was the best day of the week to play and they had it off. lulz.

Yeah, what a buzzkill that was, not playing on a picture perfect day when both teams were in town....weimy froob wrote: ↑Sun Apr 07, 2024 12:20 pm Minnesota Twins
