yep. this off day shit doesn't make sense. there's some kind of explanation for it in the thread on the front page--but i'm not buying it. also can't the twins brass read a weather report/forecast? i read where it was cold in the shade yesterday. today the golf courses were doing big business it was so nice out there.

just more fail from the organization. rocco's still a mediocre manager too.
I get it that opening day is a big thing and you want a backup day if it's rained out, but the home team should have the ability to juggle the schedule a bit in situations like this. It would have been a spectacular day for baseball today.
oh well. "what are things that will never happen in major league baseball, alex?"

still doesn't address the problem of a bad manager either. :coolio:

Lulz. Been on the road. I'd have bet money Munker jinxed the home opener by starting the game thread.

The way that wind is whipping, it could be 15-14 if it's blowing out.

it looks to be a nasty day tomorrow weather-wise. should've played yesterday. anyways, rocco has finally moved kepler out of the cleanup spot. he should be batting behind santana too though. probably should be batting 9th right now. that might get him going.

We talked about the weather yesterday Weimy. Not sure about you, but I'm going to be saying a big, loud UGH if Kep resorts to his Bad Kep at bats again like much of the last few years.

Cleveland just shut Bieber down for the year. TJ surgery. He's probably thrown his last pitch for the Guardians, since he's a FA next year. And that tightens the starting pitcher market at the deadline.

he had a great second half of the season last year--the expectations should be more of the same this year. maybe he snaps out of it today.

That's what I'm hoping for...he was really good that stretch of last season and that's why I was glad he wasn't traded. In my mind he should be a 25hr, 80-90rbi guy who hit's at least .250 or higher.

another called third strike on julien. that one was just outside the box--but it's easy to see an ump calling that pitch a strike.

it's not a triple. it's an error. AK should've scored on that semi-wild pitch too. it matters because of the buxton fail to drive him in.

Cory was talking about Ryan’s split. That’s huge if he can throw it with that command and velocity

they finally got the official scoring right. it is a triple--and that is a franchise tying third game in a row for AK.

ryan's bad second inning started with hitting naylor on an 0-1 pitch. this time he strikes him out.

The guy who hit the homer for Cleveland is the Major League movie equivalent of one of the Indians batters who isn't Cerrano, Hayes, Taylor or Dorn.

julien walks this time on the 3-2 pitch. i give him credit for being true to his approach--whether he strikes out, walks or hits a HR.

Saw Bally posted “twinsstrike first!” Or something and then went to check score and thought, bet it’s 3-1 Cle and…yep.
Also on pace for 16+ Ks again.
