Some are also saying it shows we are asking to be robbed on a trade up and some think we will start the rookie over Darnold or an open competition. We are probably talking we get in the top 3 if that were to happen.

I’m pumped. He’s the guy I wanted. Even better if we land a top 3 pick and he never plays but I think he’s a good QB to run KOCs system. He’s athletic, can move and has a strong arm.

He might just completely suck ass but I much rather a 26 year old who has shown some flashes, top draft pick and has played on some terrible offenses over some guy you know has no ceiling at all.

Probably all comes down to the money. I don’t care enough to look at how much money the Vikings would save cutting Mullens and keeping Ball but if it’s not too wide, I’m getting Lollipop out of here. He’s obviously not in their future plans to ever be their guy and you can’t go into the season with him as your backup. He’s fucking terrible right now.

No one knows anything about what’s going to go on.

The Vikings could completely whiff on drafting a QB.

They could draft a guy and he completely stinks behind the scenes and Darnold blows up.
Very unlikely but things change overnight in this league.

Either way, he’s starting for this team this year unless we get one of the top 3 which is what I’m hoping for. And drafting any of these QBs after the top 3, will be lucky if they are any better than Sam Darnold.
