Sergeant Rubetube wrote: Mon Mar 11, 2024 1:07 pm Looks like my numbers were right on point last night also.

2 years around 75 million with most of it guaranteed.
So sad that the Vikings are not committed to winning and just want to fill the stadium with people with no hope of winning because they are nowhere close to winning the division and barely the third-best team in their division.
It could be worse for that number and he is at least above average.

My problem with it is it makes no sense as where this team is it.

This team isn’t even near contending. Look what the teams already WAY ahead of us are doing today. We are either exactly the same or downgraded a bit so far.

Have you seen what interior olineman are getting? Fucking 10 million will only get you an average guard/center.
So why give cousin 32 million when he has no blocking? Maybe he will get hurt again and the Vikings will stop trying to win games and lose to get a better draft spot next year

had this to say regarding Kirk Cousins just now:

"Atlanta has felt good about it early on in this process. They feel good about their potential to land him." Said they've been in conversations for 2 hours since the legal tampering period opened.
3 years 130 Mill with 100 garunteed. Book it. Denver trades with ATL for the 8th pick and grabs JJ. Nick Mullens is our QB next year folks.

Minnesota Vikings fans misunderstood the Josh McGowan hiring. He has the same agent as Kurt cousins.

I became a big shot sports personality in the summer of 15, how could I ever forget. It was Adrian Peterson and if he was going or staying and Ben “Big Dawg” Dogra that launched me into the sport’s stratosphere when I got word before anyone else about APs new deal.

I’m putting it ALL ON THE LINE for you, the little people, one more time.

I’m told Kirk Cousins and the Vikings are VERY close on keeping the 4 time pro bowler in Minnesota.

Here are a few details….

-Kirk has explained to Julie that it’s not that the Vikings don’t appreciate him but the fact they are trying to build a winner here.

-Had no desire to go to a new system and has a big admiration for Head Coach Kevin O’Connell and the Vikings organization.

-Believes there is unfinished business here.

-Conversations between him and Julie about how grateful they are on the money made and this decision was not about that.

-There will be MASSIVE provisions in the contract for playoffs, SB appearance etc. Once again, Cousins betting on himself.

-A lot of talk about this being the path that God has chosen for him etc.

Now, I will tell you that the two sides are still negotiating and are not there yet but it isn’t as big as some might think.

I’ll try to keep you updated this evening but it’s sounding like Cousins will remain a Viking. I also expect if this is going to happen, it will be announced tonight or before FA launches tomorrow at 11am CT.

As always….. Stay Tuned.

The Vikings are gonna sign a vet to start, that’s my guess.
