The Steelers have plenty of holes to fill, but with the releasing of Mason Cole and the hiring of a run heavy OC, we will pounce on the best center in the draft.
With the 20th pick of the 1st round Pittsburg Steelers select.............
~Jackson Powers-Johnson - C - Oregon
It took some time over an odd journey, but eventually Powers-Johnson turned himself into an impactful player for the Ducks. Back in 2021, he was a backup who played defensive line in an emergency role to close out that season. He was back to being a backup in 2022, but took over as the starting center in 2023 and had a superb season. Powers-Johnson is a heavy center who looks like a safe pick to be a solid pro starter. He is a strong run blocker and reliable in pass protection. - Walter Cherepinsky

He was suppose to make it to the Tampa pick at 26.

I think it's too soon for him, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit I was considering him at 22 for the Eagles to replace Jason Kelce.

The Miami Dolphins have become one of the top teams in the league - but the 2024 draft finds them in a somewhat rigid position. They have the 21st overall pick and then the 55th pick (2nd Round) - and then.... crickets for more than 100 picks. They don't resurface again until the back end of the fifth round. And they do have some holes to fill - so they'll be wise to find BPA/instant contributors for those weaknesses. No farting around with a developmental project.
The biggest question mark on the team is the offensive line - and nearly at all positions - so adding the best O lineman left on the board makes great sense. Alabama's JC Latham is a stud - huge at 6-6 360 lbs and with football smarts that have translated to functional dominance on the field. He's also able to play both Tackle spots, and likely some Guard if needed. Tua will love this 21st overall pick.
There is little difference between the memory of a real event and the memory of a dream.
Yummy sniped my pick. I think Latham might be the last top-end tackle in the draft. Next up is probably Mims, but he's got the injury bug and that's not good for a trench guy.
There's a DL I really like, but even with the loss of Fletcher Cox, they're still stacked on the DL. They have a weakness at EDGE and at CB. It's a coin-flip here between the guy I'm taking and a corner I like, but when you come down to it, take the guy closer to the ball. Therefore:
With the 22nd pick in the 2024 NFL draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select: EDGE Chop Robinson, Penn State.
After missing on the last elite OT, they get the last elite EDGE rusher in this draft.
Fly, Eagles, fly!

Los Angeles Chargers take their chances with Philly's injury bug concern. The Chargers love this big fella's potential as a building block RT for Herbert. Chargers lock in the Slater/Mims OT duo for years to come. Harbaugh gets his man.
Run to the podium to select:
Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia with the 23rd pick in the draft.

I had a list of 6 guys for Tampa. 4 in a row are gone.

Sorry bud. I was on the fence between Fautanu and Latham back at my Cincy pick - so I'm really happy Latham lasted till 21. Got both the O line guys I wanted for my teams at this part of the draft.

Eagles are pretty happy with Chop.
Davis and Carter on the inside. Sweat and Chop on the outside. That's pretty good.

Nice work, beef. I loved your Chop Robinson pick and really good value picking him at 22.

I was seriously considering him for Atlanta at 8.
I think he'll be a stud in the NFL.
Could be the best Edge rusher in the draft.
Edge rushers are hard to forecast. He could end up the best. It’s hard to tell.

One of if not the biggest need in GB is S/Slot/CB. DeJean gives them the versatility to play multiple positions in the secondary. This just feels like a Packers pick. Hes from a small midwestern town ohh and he’s white.

AZ loves what we have in the middle of our secondary, including the high hopes we have for last year's 3rd rd pick, nickel corner Garrett Williams.
What we need though is a true #1 outside corner, so we're very happy to call the name of Kool Aid McKinstry, CB from AL
