My guess is also that they’ll move on from Gus. I don’t think Flower is a bad deal at this price, a million less than this year.

Might explain why it seemed he fell off quite a bit this year.

They know what they've got in Gus much, much better than I do. But Flower at 39 has shown you he's largely done and can't be a catalyst for a winning team, Gus still has the chance physically to return to 2023 form. To me, resigning Flower says, we're already punting next year.

I think it's more BG going the veteran route again....he LOVES his veterans! I don't think it's going to go well for MAF and he'll probably end up regretting coming back and so will we!

Well, kind of a ho-hum period and that was to be expected as players on both teams probably have tee times set up for tomorrow or this weekend and don't want to get hurt before that.

Likely the last career game for Goligoski....

Does Jojo ever win a puck battle? He got the puck on his stick behind MAF’s net on the end of the PK, and immediately had it taken away. I just can’t stand to watch him.

Agreed...BG felt it necessary to sign him for 2 years. UGH.

Love Zuccs but it was another BG mistake extending him 2 more years. Goal production WAY down and he's not as quick as he once was. Makes KK happy I guess...

While I agree to some extent, and wish BG would be willing to move on a bit from some of those vets instead of extending them, Zuccy may have lost some of his game, but he is 4th on the team in points, and is an almost point per game player still this season. Again, not what he once was, but not the biggest problem by any means.

And there it is, the Wild give up one late goal, then another….. a shorty with the empty net. This is a fitting ending to this season.

Certainly exceeded my expectations....I knew he was good, but never expected a season like this.

One more year of the buyouts hurting the Wild. While I mostly like BG, and don’t argue with that decision by him, there are some things he’s done that drive me crazy.

Fitting I suppose that the season ends with a loss.

I'll have my post season report here sometime in the next week or so.

I hope they are punting next year. It's time to develop the next generation and imho I'd rather test the waters with Jesper than Gus.
