Obviously you are telling the truth.....
The media, the Royals, MLB (they require them now), my own personal experience, are all lying.....

the logic of the next day off question might be much ado about nothing. but this thread took a turn that made it pretty interesting.

I think the logic behind the off day after the opener at an indoor stadium is that every team needs the same number of off days, but even that is thin.

We haven't had opening day, evening/night game since Target Field opened. It's always been on a Monday or Thursday at 3:05. I get why as that is not knowing how the weather can go, but I'm not sure why the indoor place can't hold opening day at night. The Dome did that.

the opener left a bad taste in the mouth. another reason why it stinks to have no game today.

another reason this season why they shouldn't let a day when you can guarantee no rainout to go by with no game.

but let's say that there was a game already scheduled for the next day. you still are fine if there's a postponement. right? and if it isn't postponed you are potentially wasting a fine day for baseball.
There's added value to buying an opening day ticket. So, they can better preserve that distinction

Cost and logistics notwithstanding, a retractable roof would've been a no brainer. Although for those of us that don't mind sitting in less than ideal conditions, cheap tickets on the resale market are cool too.
