Is this for real? #1 in our conference.

-We beat the best team in the other conference already (Celtics - Top 2 team)
-We just beat the Thunder who outside of us have the best record in our Conference. (Top 5 team)
-We're sweeping up the easy games on our schedule like dust bunnies.
-Four... 4! loses on the year. (A quarter of the way through)
-Top 4 in points differential.
-#2 in points per game against.

This is all going to come crashing down right?
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.

We’ll always have the month of November 2023, when for a week or so, we were the best or close to it. I’ll remember it fondly.

Maybe we’re at the tippity top and only half way up?

We have already equaled the win total of the 2009-2010 Minnesota Timberwolves.

I believe that was Flynn’s rookie year and Al Jefferson was working his way back from the ACL. We were 2-17 though our first 19 games. Slightly worse than this year. We had darko by the end of the year and had Jawai and Stewie on the roster too.

Kevin Love averaged 14/11 and only took 106 3ptFGAs all year.

It’s very strange watching games like the spurs where we are down by 7 at half and thought all game we were going to win. Previous years we would have lost games like that.

i thought it was going to be a clutch time game. a 16-2 4th quarter run took care of that though. :coolio:

Now that the Wolves are showing themselves to be the best team on the planet, how many All-Star selections will they get this year?

I'm guessing Ant gets his first legit All-Star selection this year. Highly doubt either Rudy or the Kat man get the nod.

Off the top of my head, whether they deserve it or not, here are the players that are guaranteed to be repping the WC...

LeBron
Doncic
Joker
AD
SGA
Durant
Curry

Which WC players will make up the remaining 5 spots?

Given how often deserving wolves have been passed over for such honors because the team wasn’t good enough, it would be fitting if we got 4 guys in over others with better stats this year.

But I hope we don’t. I hope you’re right. I hope finch can play the “disrespect” card all year. I hope Edwards refuses to go to AS weekend in protest that his teammates were snubbed.

That would be awesome.

This is pretty incredible. Over last 2 seasons -- in final 30 seconds of a 1-possession game -- MIN opponents are shooting 13.2% FG (5 for 38) & 0% 3PT (0 for 17). Both marks lead the NBA. Over last 2 seasons NBA averages are 36.3% FG & 25.5% 3PT in final :30 of a 1-possession game.

Tomorrow will be the tough one. I think we're better than LA. Sure, we're on a back-to-back with travel, but so are they (they play in Chicago Tomorrow).

But I think we could win them both. Embiid will be tough and the crowd will be hostile, but our 2-bigs thing is working. Towns and Gobert will be tough for them to contend with. Embiid can only take on one. If he takes on Towns, Karl should play a perimeter game and let Gobert own the offensive glass over 6-8 Harris. If he takes Gobert, then Towns can go to work on 6-8 Harris. In other words, how is Tobias Harris going to stop either Towns or Gobert from doing what they do? I like that edge for us. And I think Edwards can at least equal Maxey and probably surpass him.

Let's go!

This has gotta be pretty rare air. How often does an absolute disaster flip this far the other way? Like moderate success to start this year would have been a pretty ok bar. They’re 10 miles above the bar.

I credit Ant and Jaden. Ever since they were drafted this franchise has flipped the script. Don't care that they weren't involved in personnel decisions. They both were destined for greatness and the basketball gods have blessed us. :humper:
