Their race to get that 10th spot is good drama.

Kings at risk of falling apart. First Kevin Huerter injured his shoulder, which will require season-ending surgery - and now 6th Man of the Year frontrunner Malik Monk sprains his MCL and will be out 4-6 weeks. His season may be over if the Kings don't make it thru the play-in and then the first round.

in a preview and cautionary tale of an upcoming "should win" game we have vs the Hawks - they beat Chicago last night by 12 - helped along nicely by TWolves reject Vit Krejci's 18 points on 6 for 6 from deep. Also to remember - the Hawks were without the services of Trae Young, Saddiq Bey, AJ Griffin and Onyeka Okongwu.

If Phoenix wants to finish 6th they are going to have to earn it. Cleveland, MN, New Orleans, Clippers,Clippers, Kings, MN.weimy froob wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 8:37 am booker goes off and the suns throttle the pelicans in new orleans. look who is only a half game out of sixth.

nuggets win. mavs up by three against the warriors in the third quarter. wolves might want to avoid them in the first round. the alternative could be the pelicans though. if they can secure the second spot that might be the most advantageous spot for them. they've got the raptors tomorrow and OKC has boston. bigger problem for the thunder might be that SGA quad injury. that could derail their season.

in the event of a three way tie right now OKC would be in the one spot. no idea if that would be the case at the end of the season.Jimi_Thing wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 10:42 pmI believe we do. Denver is current .5 ahead of the Wolves.

They go by head to head record. Then I think they decide that by divisional record, and if we were SOMEHOW still tied, they go by conference record.
Head to head record:
MN/OKC tied 2-2
MN so far 2-1 against DEN
OKC wins against DEN 3-1
Division record so far:
MIN 12-3
OKC 12-4
DEN 8-6
Conference record:
MIN 36-12
OKC 33-16
DEN 30-17

It goes by head-to-head in a three way first. We need to beat Denver again to move it to division record.ChrisPaulGeorgeHill wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 5:42 amI think we would be in the #1 spot in a three way tie IF we were all tied right now.weimy froob wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 10:48 pmin the event of a three way tie right now OKC would be in the one spot. no idea if that would be the case at the end of the season.Jimi_Thing wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 10:42 pm

Yep. Just commenting on if we were tied right now, we’d be in the #1 spot because of our CURRENT head to head with DEN with one more to go against them.SHAFA wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 5:46 amIt goes by head-to-head in a three way first. i just went off of what horton said on the radio and he had this tweet too. just the messenger--i didn't know the particulars. anyways it doesn't really matter unless they're all tied at the end. i think OKC could fade a bit. it depends on how bad that quad injury is. two could be the sweet spot if the mavericks end up 4/5.

they are giving the cavs a good thrashing in the first half. mavericks are playing great. the pelicans and the suns are battling for the sixth spot. the kings are the team i want to see the wolves play--but they might not get out of the play-in games. we'll see how they look against phoenix on friday.

You literally read my mind, only team I am worried about playing in 1st rd. A healthy PHX team with a focused Durant and Booker can go toe to toe with us if their shots are falling. Only other team I am worried to play is Dallas, but they should snatch 5.Jimi_Thing wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 9:40 pm Really don’t want to match up against Phoenix in the first round.

it's weird--but if you take the play-in teams out of the equation the wolves probably match up better against the clippers, thunder and the nuggets than they do the mavericks, pelicans and the suns.

They’ve won 2 in a row relax. They have played the whole year with no consistency, high turnovers, and no defense. That all translates into plYoff disaster.ChrisPaulGeorgeHill wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 9:44 pmMe neither.Jimi_Thing wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2024 9:40 pm Really don’t want to match up against Phoenix in the first round.
