celtics set a record tonight--they didn't shoot one FT in the game. that's never happened before. kind of surprised by that if it could happen tonight.

2 FTs in that game is just the refs going pre-K. Oh, you don't like how we call fouls? well then we just aren't going to call any! Neener neener.

suns outscore the clippers by 20 points in the second half and still lose by 13. they weren't tanking--they just shit the bed in the first half.

Russell Westbrook had 16 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists for his first triple-double of the season and 199th of his career, and the Los Angeles Clippers built a 31-point lead in the first quarter before holding on late for a 105-92 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night.

It was an embarrassing early showing for the Suns, who are fighting to stay out of the Western Conference play-in tournament. They eventually rallied to cut the margin to 91-84 with 6:45 left on Bradley Beal's free throw, but couldn't get closer.

The Clippers — who were playing without All-Stars James Harden and Kawhi Leonard — have won four straight and seven of eight. They host the Suns on Wednesday in the second game of the home-and-home series.

“Our will to win was great,” Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said. “We came out with a defensive mindset, we were really physical, offensively we were clicking. This is a hell of a win against a really good team.”

Dallas up 22 in Miami at half.
Kyrie 21 pts Luka 19.
Gafford 5/5. Dude literally doesn’t miss.
This team is a problem.

i believe so. they'll get the clippers in the first round who are playing well right now--but i expect them to win that series as the 5th seed. it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if the wolves get the second seed.

This has been my thoughts as well. Even though it would be nice to win the 1, 2 might present the best matchups for us. An okc matchup over LA/Dal would be my preference, especially with home court advantage

this is the time of the year when career highs are made. i don't know if it's the case here - but when PF Jake Laravia starts at SG for Memphis and drops 32 in a loss, you know we're in the final week of play.

Figured we can use this for the non wolves playoffs unless someone wants a new thread.

Scott Foster already shitting the bed giving a double tech for no reason.
Pels looking strong early against Lakers.
Edit: of course 7-0 LAL run as I typed lol.

Lakers up on the Pels at the end of three. Lakers ahead 20 to 11 on FT attempts. Even though they have attempted 29 threes to the Pels 21.

Isn't it sad that my first box score watch has been the FT comparison. This is what the NBA has come to.

Tie game late. Zion with 40. Demolishing Lebron and Davis.

Ahh now he’s hurt.

With three minutes to go in a one-score game. Sure wonder what it was. He didn’t limp but was grimacing.

pelicans comeback falls short. DLo with a great steal and then hits a big three. AD with a tough rebound off that lebron miss. high intensity in clutch time--and quality possessions on both sides. are the wolves going to be bringing it at that level on saturday?

he was about to reach for his knee but stopped to score the basket.

Zion Williamson was having one of the best nights of his career in the NBA play-in tournament. It ended badly, and not just because the New Orleans Pelicans lost.

The All-Star forward exited the Pelicans' 110-106 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers with an apparent leg injury, leaving in the final minutes of a 40-point performance. Pelicans head coach Willie Green described the issue as "left leg soreness" to reporters after the game.

Williamson will undergo imaging on Wednesday, two days before the Pelicans' second play-in game.
