Warriors look like trash but are hanging around.
Also with the same record they would have hosted a playoff series last year lol. (Not a home playin game, 4 seed, that’s nuts)

GSW bench outscores the Kings bench 46 to 14 and they still lose by 24. That in a nutshell shows you how horribly the Kings starters wiped the Dubs starters off the face of the earth. And vets not named Curry? Wiggins, Dray, Klay, Looney and Paul combined for less than 30 points.
In however they can possibly do it, I think the Dubs will get blown up this offseason - and that means Curry is likely on the table too. He has the best trade value over the others by a factor of 100.
and Zion's injury - very little sympathy for a braggart who still hasn't accomplished anything. I think he said he would show everyone what he's made of - he did - and unfortunately it's fine expensive valuable glass.

Yep, not taking care of business again this year is the difference between playing a surging Suns team vs. beat up Kings or Pels.weimy froob wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 8:56 am #1 seed is looking pretty good right now with a zion hamstring injury.

he was awful last night. for some reason they had him basically run point for a handful of plays (despite having 2 HOF PGs on the floor...) and he would turn it over or miss a layup.Moses Scurry wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 10:50 am Classic sleepy game, 12/3/2, and a -25 worst on the team.
warriors other issue was their bench didnt take advantage at all of times when fox and/or sabonis sat, with no Monk or Huerter thats where they needed to dominate and they did not at all.

second game back after being out injured for 12 games. my guess is that if it were simply the regular season, he'd still be rehabbing. He came back to get some PT the final game of the year and then onto the play-in. That he's not 100% isn't surprising. KAT isn't 100% either. Similar circumstances, in fact - KAT was out for 18 games and then got himself ready to go for the final two games of the year before heading off to the playoffs. Karl is averaging 10.5/5.5/5.0 in his two games back. Ingram in his two games back is averaging 12.0/4.5/2.0.

New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson is out of Friday's NBA play-in game against the Sacramento Kings with a hamstring strain.focker wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 12:41 pmThe guys constantly hurt. his weight is going to doom his career IMO...weimy froob wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 7:29 am brittrobson

Spoiler:
The Pelicans announced the diagnosis on Wednesday following the results of an MRI. He'll be re-evaluated in approximately two weeks.
Williamson injured his hamstring late in Tuesday's Pelicans loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. The loss in the first round of the play-in tournament sent the Pelicans to an elimination game against the Kings on Friday. The winner of that game will secure the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. The loser's season will be over.
Even if the Pelicans win on Friday, it doesn't sound like Williamson would be available to play in the first round of the playoffs based on the timeline provided by the Pelicans. The winner of Friday's game will face the No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round.
The news is a significant blow to the Pelicans on the cusp of the postseason. It marks the latest setback to Williamson's injury-plagued career. Various injuries have limited Williamson since the Pelicans selected him with the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. In five NBA seasons, Williamson's been limited to 184 of a possible 410 regular season games.

Zion, Butler, and Caruso all hurt. lame final play in games ahoy! Bulls still have DD and Coby so they should beat the heat handily but who knows.
If ingram doesn't completely ball out, which is unlikely, Sac should destroy Pels...but again who knows.

Re: *** 2023-24 Non-Timberwolves Game Thread ***
who you got tonight?
I think both road teams win, maybe easily with the injuries. Sportsbooks still have home teams favored like -1.5 but...ehh
Chicago over Miami w/o general soreness
Sac over Pels w/o mount Zion.
home teams could suprise but I feel its unlikely. Chi and Sac have the best players in each game still with DemarD/White vs Bam/herro, and Boner/Fox vs 1/2 an Ingram and CJ/JV
maybe scary Terry will go off for Miami, or CJ gets 35 outdueling D fox.

I think Rozier is also out tonight. With that said, I still think the Heat get it done at home.boxter432 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 5:10 pm who you got tonight?

I guess the Kings if I had to choose, but the Pels absolutely know how to play without Zion. If McCollum shows up and Ingram is healthy, that will be a different story.

We lose to the Bulls twice and the Bulls lose to a Buckets-less Heat squad with the season on the line?

I think a lot of teams played us harder than they otherwise would play because we were the 1 seed so much of the season. It's sort of how we play against the nuggets.Beef Supreme wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 6:13 am We lose to the Bulls twice and the Bulls lose to a Buckets-less Heat squad with the season on the line?
We don't have the discipline or coaching to play the low rung teams at high effort and so we had instances like the double bulls loss, SA loss, Charlotte loss etc

All teams have that throughout the course of the season. But it’s the late-season losses where you know what’s at stake that hurt.EmeraldAxe wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 7:12 amI think a lot of teams played us harder than they otherwise would play because we were the 1 seed so much of the season. definitely like to see it go seven--but not so sure if i'd like to see the wolves play the lakers or the nuggets if they take care of the suns. of course if it is the lakers the wolves have home court.Jimi_Thing wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 8:23 pmWould like to see the Lakers win in a hard fought 7 game series.

The Wolves have the depth to remain strong for a long playoff run. I think it’s obvious that the Lakers would be the easier matchup.weimy froob wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 8:26 pmdefinitely like to see it go seven--but not so sure if i'd like to see the wolves play the lakers or the nuggets if they take care of the suns. of course if it is the lakers the wolves have home court.Jimi_Thing wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2024 8:23 pmWould like to see the Lakers win in a hard fought 7 game series.
I also think coaching is huge in the post season. Finch and his crew have the clear advantage over Ham and his crew.
