I agree. Team is going nowhere this season anyways so might as well tank

Never fun to be lousy but it would serve this team well this year. Not sure how the top prospects pan out but one would assume the Wild would get a stud if they pick in the top 3 and in a couple years when the Ryan/Zach salaries are off the books the hope would be that stud would be heavily contributing, Boldy & Kirill will be doing there thing, the top prospects of the last couple years will be in the lineup, and BG will have $$ available to pick up a top FA or two.

Hated opinion, but shoulda traded KK in the offseason.

Amazing how many players get paid, and never have great seasons again.

Zero chance they would have traded KK in the off season and for good reason...he's the best forward the Wild have had since Marion Gaborik many moons ago. I also disagree with your take on he and Boldy taking the money and running. Confidence in sports is huge and both of these guys right now are lacking it. The longer their struggles go on the harder it is to snap out of it...there almost always are a few top players every year that hit the skids for one reason or another and they almost always find a way to get back on their game. I do think KK might be hiding an injury....just doesn't have the quickness and explosiveness that he has had. It also doesn't help that this is a very talent challenged squad....teams can zero in on KK & Boldy with little fear that our other forwards are going to burn them.

KK is definitely not earning his weight being tied for 61st overall in TP, while Zucc is tied overall at 29th. The team is 18th in the league for GPG and 26th for total points. Sadly they are 3rd worst for SV%. The Wild aren't HORRIBLE at 5x5 being 19th for goal differential (-2) but they're deal last on the PK at 66%. That is a 23% worse than the league leader. Unimaginable.

Evason needs to be fired and quite frankly Guerin should go with him.

I had a meeting I had to be at, watched the latter part of the game. Great to see the Wild get their first win since (I think) opening of firearm deer hunting season in MN. (Nov. 4th)
