The guy was a pitching coach at Augustana before he finally got another whirl in the MLB with the only team that would have signed him.

He's 36 and is nice story. But he has never really been anything but a lefty specialist, and you want to make him the closer over a 25 year old guy that throws 104? You are proving how reactionary that you are and how you just don't get it.

i saw this in the strib comments section. he got the job done last night--but he had a three run lead to work with. if miggy had any wheels at all he would have given up three straight hits. he's been an iffy proposition for awhile now.

Media talk is the Twins have to watch Duran so he's not overworked. He pitched more innings last year to this point than in 2023. So far, there's not been a single month in which he threw more innings this year than last, yet his ERA is a point higher and he's walking more hitters.
