Gophs have GOT to get more from Snuggy, Pitlick, and Moore Saturday.
put them back on the same line. Snuggy is frustrated. He is just firing anytime he gets the puck.
Michigan Tech hanging with BC. BC scores early and they are good, but Tech with some solid hockey.
Always love the Tech band at the old Final Five, the official tourny band!
Snuggy has digressed a bit as the year has gone on imo. Not sure if it's strictly a line issue or somehow he lost a little confidence. Right now I'd say he's not quite ready for an NHL career and hope he'd consider coming back for one more season.

TECH with a shorty to tie it up.
Have you watched the season? After WJC snugs was on fire with pitlick and moore. Then he switched the lines.
Makes no sense. With out looking it up, that line was scoring goals in Jan/Feb.
Bob is making changes to make changes. That is his calling card going back to St Cloud.
And by the way, you said he is a interesting looking guy. When he squints and just his front teeth are showing...what you have there is a goldy gopher!

Like I said before, I can't speak as to why Bob played around with the lines. I know Snuggy was playing really well around WJC's but the last month or so he just seems off and that can't all be attributed to line combinations. We desperately need a goal or two from him Saturday or the season likely will be over.

Well first off, classy move by Michigan to hold up the handshake line and take a knee until Blake was up.
I have always been a Michigan fan, no idea why. Just remember going to see them play the Sioux WAY Back in the day when they were in the WCHA. Always like the ugly helmets.
Sioux had their chances and Michigan goalie had some great saves.
BC and BU are impressive. Gophers will need a hell of a game today to get to St Paul and I hope they can do it.

Going to be a very tough task for our Rodents vs BU later tonight...a trip to the "X" is at stake. Going to need a perfect game to get the "w".
GO GOPHERS!!
Yes sir! I suspect BU has a bad taste in their mouth over the drubbing the Rodents put on them last year in the Frozen 4. BU brings back their team plus Mecklin Celebrini ( 1st overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft) and the Rodents lost a few players. I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst.
Glad Gophs are up 2-1 but that terrible BU goal was a real buzzkill. Glad to see Goldy didn't let that effect them too much and in fact they had a couple of tremendous opportunities to make it 3-1 at the break.

From my untrained eye, it appeared BU had the better of the play the first 3-7 minutes. Then Goldy pretty much carried the play with more offensive chances despite BU having a lopsided shots.
One period to go and we're down 4-3. BU scores late period goals in each period that Close should have had, especially the one in period 1. Have given themselves a chance nonetheless and we'll see which team wants it the most.

Not that it matters but it would be nice if the ncaa would put the brackets out as they will line up.
What they posted on Wed showed the potential for MN vs ND in the Semis. That is not true.
Gophers playing well, but 2 weak goals at a bad time.
Should be a outstanding 3rd period.

BU is going to come out hard and try to get the lead to 2. Gophs can't afford to let that happen and need to be intense from the very first shift till the last.
Close has to be better.
Snuggerud has to be better.
