Lousy play by Merrill and the Preds go up 2-1. Not because of this play but I am just not sure about Merrill going forward. Gives VERY little offensively and is average at best defensively...if he's here on a really good contract then I guess I'm ok with him as a 3rd group D but to me he is a big MEH

The ESPN guys talked to him last weekend, and reported that he said that’s how it was pronounced, so they were saying it that way. Now, of course, our great Anthony The Fucking Planter has to make sure to say it that way, and mention his name more than required, just to ensure that we know he’s all over it. Just like when Ekky became Jule instead of Joel.

Wes also has to make sure to say these things more than necessary, just like when he was on his “Johnny” Merrill trip for awhile.

Carter is also saying Rose-cee but I can tell he's struggling with it! Actually a fun game tonight from my prospective as the "B" squad is giving it their best shot! Doesn't matter in the least but it would be nice to end the season with a W!

To me it’s the decision of Merrill, Goose, or Faber for third pair in the playoffs. One of those will be Klingberg’s partner I think. Barring injury, it’s Spurge/Middleton, Dumba/Brodin, and then the third pair is Klingberg with one of the others. Dean does seem to be looking at Faber, but maybe he goes with Goose. I think Merrill is likely scratched.

An old friend of mine moved to Nashville a few years ago, he’s at the game tonight. I said the same thing…. you get to see the B team but it’s still fun!

On a side note, non-Wild…. Jonathan Toews has played his last game as a Chicago Blackhawk. He’s been their captain since he was 20 years old. He’s been one of the guys in the League that I have had the ultimate respect for during his career.

Also, they just talked about Freddy getting a new contract. What a great move, and looking like a good value, for the Wild to sign him for 5 years, at a little over $2M per year.
I think he could have gotten a shorter contract for money per year, but fewer years, if he had hit the market.
