Gallo and Kepler potentially being every day players has me nervous.

Kepler continues to regress. Gallo just sucks, and always has.

Buxton again proves how good he is when healthy. But he needs help, because history shows Buxton will go down at some point. Only game 2, but I feel like we've seen this before.

Pitch clock helps, but games with very little offense are always pretty quick.
And by the first couple of games, the Twins are going to have very little offense.

Polanco and Kirilloff will hopefully help with that.

Maybe. There's rumblings that Polanco has played his last game as a Twin.

Shoulda had surgery last August....this is a bummer but Nick Gordon is a capable replacement for awhile.

When is Royce Lewis back? Better be getting him ready to play 2B as well.

terrible footwork. didn't have a chance to catch buck.

Spoiler:
the passed ball helped get that run in too. :coolio:
Then came Farmer's shallow fly ball — a failure on his part, the pinch hitter said.

"I thought there was no shot. I turned around and looked, and I was like, 'Oh, Byron's over there. He might go," Farmer said. "I thought he was going to fake, but then he just went. It was awesome."

Buxton's calculation: Center fielder Kyle Isbel settled under the ball, rather than catch it on the run.

"He was flat-footed. For me, if I see an outfielder behind the ball a little bit more, it gives you a little bit more hesitation," he explained. "I see you flat-footed, I don't care who you are, it's going to be tough to throw me out."

Sounds like he's ahead of schedule. Article in the Athletic says he might be playing minor league games by mid-April.

DVR the game just finished watching it and have a few thoughts. Any other team in the league we are probably 0-2 but we are playing the Kansas City Royals. Joey Gallo and Michael Taylor cannot be in the every day lineup. In my opinion they should play once a week, they are 2 automatic outs. Pitching looks good but it’s KC they are basically a glorified AAA team. I’ll take the 2 wins but I really don’t like what I’m seeing the first two games.

Not the Twins' fault they have to play KC. Let's hope they get the sweep.

Think it doesn't look potent now, what happens this week when they decide Buxton needs a day off from the rigors of DH'ing? Solano or Farmer at DH? Barf.

If he's a full-time DH now, he needs to play every game. That's a fact. If he can't go every day, as a guy with no position, he should be on the IL.

How in the hell can an athlete like Buxton not know how to slide without bouncing his face off the ground?

He's going to break himself before he gets a chance to play in the field
