I don't think the fans would respond well to signing Bauer. What he is going to have to do is sign with a team like Tampa Bay where people don't care. He's going to catch hell no matter where he goes, as is whatever team signs him.

Right now, Bauer is doing Twitter videos and trying to sell "Bauer Outage" t-shirts. The fact that the Yankees and Mets said they had zero interest is pretty telling. Someone will take a chance on him at some point, but it might be awhile. Even if you throw the sexual assault stuff out the window, he's always been a monstrous pain in the ass and a clubhouse cancer.

100% correct. One also has to wonder how being away for that long would affect his game too. He'd be a difficult guy to root for and most fans of any team would immediately turn on him if he's not dominant right out if the gate.

Bauer signed to play in Japan this season for 3 million. If he can dominate there, someone will take a shot on him. If not, it's over. His agent must have heard from every team that they weren't interested until he shows he can still pitch.
