How are we all doing? Just over a week until it gets real again! I hope you’re all excited about the season and looking forward to a few really active months here. Should be fun.


Keep in mind, we’ll probably attract a lot of users on game days that don’t spend all their waking hours (not that there’s anything wrong with that!) here 12 months out of the year. Be nice. If they ask about something you guys have rehashed a million times or forget that a guy was released or don’t know the development arc of our UDFAs, be nice. More users makes for a better board and good behavior attracts and retains more users.

The board has been great, if I may say so, since I started moderating more actively last December. The credit for that is to you all. Thank you for what you do here and respecting my moderation. Expect the board to be challenged with increased usage. Don’t let a bad apple (should one appear) ruin this for everyone and don’t lower yourself to that level. Report it. Let myself or another mod deal with it, and move on with your Purple Froobing. Use the foe/ignore feature for an unruly poster in real-time if the mods don’t immediately intervene. Remember, such folks only have the power to ruin the board that you give them. Deny them your attention and you deny them their power. We will clean it up eventually and take out the trash as necessary if behaviors are reported, but I’d hate to have to throw one of you fine, upstanding Purple Froobs out with the trash because you lowered yourself to it. But I will. Rules have to be rules and they apply to all.

Remember, no spamming, name-calling, or hijacking of threads. Do not allow purple discussions between posters to become discussions about purple posters.
