I wouldn’t have guessed it was a dozen years since OT in the National Championship. The penalty call was pretty bad I think in the situation, but Quinipiak just dominated that period. Gophers better regroup and come out hard or they’re gonna be #2.

When Cooley passed over to Snuggerud I thought the lead would go to 3-1 cuz Snuggy buries those 90% of the time...his shot went high and the Gophs never really had another good opportunity.

There’s no doubt our recruiting is back to top notch. That’s a plus to Motzko. But as a game manager, I think it’s fair to have some serious questions on this one. What did we have, like five shots in the last 35 minutes of this game? An absolute clown could have coached these guys up - fourteen NHL picks to two, for Christ’s sake. What a waste of a situation in a season where everything came together.

The Gophers were out-worked, out-played, and out out-coached for at least the 2nd half of the game through the final goal. Q deserves all the credit, but that's a game the Gophers will regret forever. Fucking sigh.

Nelson was flat footed the entire 10 seconds and if that goal scorer was his responsibility then shame on him, but things happened so fast I don't even know who else was out there at this point. Would also like to know why Cooley's line didn't start the ot period....

i've watched this about 20 times, just rewinding right after the goal to see it again, and still have a hard time figuring out what happened. it starts with a good pass from that defenseman though.

I'm not so sure Cooley is ready to make the jump. He looked physically over-matched tonight against bigger, more experienced players.

Guessing we'll find out fairly soon who is and isn't coming back... there's a great class of newcomers heading to Dinkytown so there is hope... there's always hope
