Does any team sign a player like this just to make sure another team can't? Like, if they tought he was the missing piece another team could use they sign him instead to keep that from happening?

i don't think gallo is that kind of player, so not in this case. But maybe in some cases - or it's a bit of both, let's sign X player cuz he could be good for us - plus we don't want him over on that rival's squad. But i think mostly there'd have to be perceived value in the player himself on the signing team.

They could, I suppose, but if you’re offering a prominent role and it turns out to be a lie, you’re not likely to be considered as acting in good faith by other players going forward.

Agreed. The Wolves are already one of the league leaders in 3pt percentage. So you’re basically bringing in a poor defender to fix a problem that we don’t have.

I think it's in the works - pending results of a physical this week. Even if it's just a ten day, you don't want to waste a ten day on a tire with a bent rim. Warren has claimed he's fully healthy again for quite awhile now.
