Don't worry, they'll sign at least one more shitty veteran to compete for a spot.

Lol

Another year another dumpster fire.

Probably better off. Don't want to add on to the longest playoff losing streak in sports history.

I never thought I'd say this: I miss Kevin Correia, Mike Pelfrey, and Cole De Vries.

Matt Boyd may be in play. Greinke, Pineda, Garrett Richards, Zach Davies, Mike Fiers, Chris Archer, Jon Lester, Brett Anderson, Cole Hamels, and Carlos Martinez are the leftover scraps.

Greinke has already said he'd never play in MN. I'm guessing Pineda re-signs here. Maybe Garrett Richards

When did he say that and why? Not that I expected us to pony up for him at his age, (hell, he's my age), but what does he have against the Twins that he wouldn't have against say, The Brewers, who he also played for?

Pineda has to be priority.

They could trade Austin Martin for a young stud arm, but I'd be shocked if they make a move like that.

He listed teams that he wouldn’t go to before he went to Houston and the Twins were one of them.

Nope…. They “tried hard” to sign him, but couldn’t make the money work according to Jon Heyman.

Has there been any updates on Maeda? I know they had originally hoped he could make it back this year but I haven’t heard any news at all on him.

Chris Bassitt traded to the Mets for a couple of prospects.
10th in AL Cy Young voting last year. All 5 Mets starters would be the Twins "Ace".

Anyone keen on the Bullpen roster? I can't think of anyone off the top of my head to be honest.

They just traded for Sonny Gray. Does he have anything left?

Mark Sheldon
@m_sheldon
The Reds have traded Sonny Gray and minor league RHP Francis Peguero to the Twins for their 2021 first round pick, RHP Chase Petty.

Good pitcher. He’s only 31-32 years old. That’ll help. Get Pineda back now

Gray
Pineda
Ryan

Might be good enough to compete. Get Pineda and figure out the bullpen

Oh man.. knew Petty was legit.

Dudes bound for greatness now.

Hate this move. We know we aren't contending. Flipping let Balsovic(spelling) or others not quite ready just pitch and learn.

Like gray but this was way too much.

I disagree… Petty could be good, but our lineup is good enough to compete. We need adequate starting pitchers. Gray’s ceiling is CY Young. He can lead the rotation. Health is the risk there. If they can land Pineda or Cueto, I’ll like our opening day rotation a lot more than a few days ago.

Most takes I've seen is this trade is lopsided as hell in the Twins favor

Yeah they go from a team destined for mid 70 wins to a team that should be in the mix for a wild card spot if they actually get a healthy Buxton

This front office proved last year that they were too dependent on free agent inefficiencies.

One thing they still have my complete confidence in is trades. They always seem to maximize value
