Mine is the Skiing game for the Comodore 64. This was back in the early to mid 80’s. I used to play the shit out of this game

Super Mario Bros. My brother was 3 years older than me and he must have been super young when we got an NES. Because I don't remember not having one as I grew up. So like 3 years old I remember playing Super Mario Bros.

I am sure I played something on someone else's system before getting anything of my own, but I remember Battletoads on the original gameboy that I got for my birthday when I was 5. As for console game, same situation, christmas gift, SNES with Mario All-stars.

My first console was the Sega Master System. I was pissed my parents got that instead of the NES. I remember playing Out Run on the Master System non stop as my first console game

Pong.
But first one with joystick on the TV, which was revolutionary at the time was Combat on Atari probably.

The first video game I actually remember playing is either Where's Waldo or Mario Bros. Can't remember which came first.
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.

Oh shit! If that's a video game the first one was this baseball game that's looks like it's from the same creator as that game.
It was just little lights and you could play two player.

Re: What’s the first video game you remember playing?
Like most, it was Pong.
First arcade game was Ms. Pac-Man. The small town I grew up in, the grocery store had it. The place they plugged it into was the freezer section...ha
When the game consoles like Atari came out, my parents didn't want to get us kids that. Instead, they bought the learning console called Texas Instruments...
When my parents divorced, mom bought us Nintendo. Parent war began, as dad bought us Sega.
I enjoyed playing the handheld football game as we played it on the bus all the time. Good times!

I actually remember playing that game on either our Intellivision or the Atari 2600. It was a Pac-Man rip off.

On a console. An early version of Pong at the neighbors house.
As an arcade game - I think it was probably either Space Invaders, or possibly that big table Atari Football with the X's and O's and the track balls. I was looking for one of those and they're rare and very expensive now.

Re: What’s the first video game you remember playing?
Played some game at a friend's house whose Dad worked for Control Data. You were in a Starship, and you were fighting the Klingons, and Romulans, but I remember what was so weird (for the time) was that the people in the other ships were in Montreal and Boston and Denver, etc. I seem to remember the name of "Plato", but I don't know if it was the name of the computer system or the game.
Other than that, Pong, but I don't count that.
First game that I was really in to (like lining up quarters on the machine) was Space Invaders.
