Not surprised - their coach is named Pitino. The FBI probably just assumes they're clean. Rightfully so.

Keep in mind this investigation is just one agent so far. Not sure if the FBI will investigate other agencies.

Reread my post. The coach's name is R. Pitino. Nothing to see here.

"The University of Maryland acknowledged Friday that it has been subpoenaed as part of the FBI's investigation into corruption in college basketball, according to Pat Forde of Yahoo Sports.

Per Jeff Ermann of 247Sports, Maryland released information regarding two subpoenas it received. One is related to former Terrapins center Diamond Stone, and the other concerns Kansas forward Silvio De Sousa, who was recruited by Maryland."

Also:

Former Maryland basketball player Damonte Dodd has been indicted for second-degree rape and second-degree assault charges after allegedly having sex with an intoxicated woman against her will last November in College Park, Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks announced Friday.

How soon can we kick them out of the Big Ten?

I was talking with the dad of a UofM baseball player a couple weeks ago. He said a lot of the women's volleyball team hangs out with the baseball players. He said one of the first thing a volleyball player learns is to not get anywhere near a rape room. (football or basketball players' dorm rooms).

We got into the how and why the rape culture seems so pervasive. He said the general theory is that so much is handed to the rainmaker athletes (since they were young) that women are the only thing occasionally forbidden, so that's what they want.

Athletics cash trumps women being assaulted.
It. Never. Ends!
Former Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson used his department's funding to hire an attorney to represent two student-athletes who were accused of sexual misconduct, and then failed to sever ties with the attorney when asked to do so, the university said in a statement provided to The Washington Post.

The Post, citing multiple sources, reported Thursday that the two athletes were football players. The players were not identified. The school launched an investigation into the allegations in June 2017, the Post reported.
