Daniels, Thompson, and Battle all got manhandled on the boards all game. I felt like they had the right game plan working in the zone, but they just got killed on the boards.

Battle couldn't get anything going in the first half. His step-back shots looked off just taking difficult shots. No flow to the offense.

Gophers continue their good stretches of not turning the ball over. Only 2 last night (Daniels had both).

The miss Curry. Daniels is a huge liability.

Killed on the boards is an understatement. They couldn't do anything off an OSU miss. Liddell had 8 offensive rebounds. It's pretty much impossible to win when most of your defensive possessions result in multiple shot attempts for the offense. Thompson needs to get stronger and Payne will help next year, but they need to find an experienced big man in the portal.

Understood. But Johnson found players that fit what he wants to do, and he certainly appears to have a feel for how to coach, despite what most thought when he was hired (myself included). Also, who knows what the transfer portal might bring? If you choose to build more that way, a quick turnaround isn't impossible.

I'm definitely hopeful and you're probably right. I got irritated yesterday with how many times the announcers said how many Wisconsin players were from Minnesota. Like, we get it guys. You don't have to rub it in.
