His perimeter game looks good. I think he's a little soft around the glass yet. Struggles to rebound. Needs to bulk up a bit over the summer.

Has he played so much that he can't count this as a redshirt year? Thompson can't redshirt. That ship has sailed. For a big, he's not a very good rebounder. But neither are Curry or Daniels. Makes no sense. Sure feels like he's just on the roster because he wanted to be here and they needed bodies. He's going to have to work extra hard to get minutes over someone that Johnson recruited.

Unless the NIT has changed their changed their eligibility rules, it waa impossible for the Gophers to make it. Last I knew, a team had to finish at least .500 to qualify. Minnesota entered the B1G tourney at 13-16. So, the best possible finish would be 17-16 . . . but that would require winning the conf tourney . . . which would obviously get them to the dance. This Iowa squad reminds me of some of the good Gopher squads from the 90's under Haskins like 1997.
