As of the moment there are no direct flights and nothing with a travel time of.less than 26 hours. In fact I'd have to leave on that Wednesday to be there by game time on Thursday.

I booked my flight and hotel.

Saw this posted elsewhere. Now cap off a remarkable season with a title:

I certainly don't know a team this season that has had 7 of their top 10 forwards miss 5, 6, 14, 9, 2, 6, and 13 games with 4 of their top 6 defensemen missing 7, 3, 2, and 6 games plus had their backup goalie transfer and then their top goalie leave half way through the season resulting in having to turn to a walk on goalie or is currently playing with out their first round draft pick.

It is good to see the gophers in the mix again, and it was good to see butts in the seats for their games.
Also fun to see Mankato's program grow and I think it is great they play the gophers.
Can not help to think what IF the old WCHA was around this year. Could they have put 7 teams in the tourney?

Wish the Sioux was in the mix this week. I dont follow the recruiting enough to understand why they had so many new players come in this year or what next year looks like. But this year they never seem to really play a great game or several in a row. They had moments, but it was clearly a lunch pal group with only one player over 30 points.

Dilemma for yours truly given tonights tilt: I grew up as a Gopher Hockey fan in Southern MN & Northern MN. Played football for a couple of years for the Gophers. However, I ended up obtaining my under-graduate degree from Minnesota State. As a matter of fact, I attended MSU when they initially went to D-1 hockey and used to drink beer and tell tall tales with MSU Maverick hockey players to which we are still buddies today.
Thus, who do I root for tonight?

I’m cheering for my neighborhood team but I won’t be upset if the Gophers come back and win either. 2 Minnesota teams in the final 4 is a great thing to see! The Gophers have had an amazing season

Hate the loss but loved the season. I got to come home to the US and see my first Gophers hockey game in 8 years and experienced it my older boy. Got to watch the emergence of Close, the leadership of Meyers, the rising star of Knies, 4 straight sweeps and a Big Ten title.

I didn't like the way they went out but they will be back. Going to the NCAAs and winning games two years in a row will be of great benefit to the players that come back. This is the type of season that you build off of. This is the type of season that can lead to bigger and better.

I love this program and if I am finally back in the US for good this year I'll be back at 3M on the regular.
