This one just isn't fair. It's got the same LED lights that the Dartmouth Big Green has, but it's flashier and quite frankly, staggering. The Fighting Siou-- err... I mean, the Fighting Hawks locker room could look like the Dallas Stars locker room at first glance, but the green LED trim that goes along with their futuristic design and spacious area makes for the top spot on our list. With guys like Ed Belfour, Jonathan Toews, T.J. Oshie, Brock Boeser, Drake Caggiula, Tyson Jost, Aaron Dell and Travis Zajac helping out with the alumni foundation, I can confidently say that this is one of the most astounding locker rooms in all of hockey. I've even included a bonus photo of their entryway below.
It pays homage to past players who wore the infamous Fighting Sioux sweaters and looks like a cross between the walkway into the Shark Tank and an evil villain's lair. The 2016 NCAA Tournament champions are on top once again in 2019 on our list. Congratulations, NoDak

Cole Caufield is getting a lot of buzz after 2 exhibition games in Canada. A lot of young NHL talent for the Badgers. We'll see if it translate to team success. Either way, Caufield is going to fun to watch.

Tickets for the UND at Minny series are anywhere from 60-105 bucks. Highest priced tics for the season once again

this might make for a good score from the scalpers on thurs. Might have to circle the rink just before puck drop and worse case I am back home by late first period. Im not paying 80 to watch in person.Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 7:53 amThat’s what is saysSellingguy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 7:32 amTHur/Fri series?Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 6:06 pm Tickets for the UND at Minny series are anywhere from 60-105 bucks. Re: College hockey
There are lots of things I don't understand about the NCAA. And all of the conference realignment that was commonplace a few years back. Nebraska not with Oklahoma and Texas...Maryland not in the ACC, and on and on. I still have no understanding why the gold-standard for college hockey, the former WCHA, blew up. Largely because of money, I guess. With that being said, Big 10 hockey isn't going anywhere. So, why not just expand it to two 6 team conference--have the East with Wisconsin, and the other 5 schools farther east. And then have the the West with the U of M, the 4 other Minnesota schools and North Dakota. Could solve all the problems. The integrity of the old WCHA is preserved, all the Minnesota schools could re-new their rivalries, and the Big 10 still gets its hockey conference. I realize many of those schools clearly aren't Big 10 schools, but neither is Notre Dame.Miley Cyrus wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 9:08 pm Now the purple cows and beavs think they're too cool for the WCHA.
7 men’s hockey programs plan to leave WCHA to create new conference in 2021
By Mick Hatten
Seven NCAA Division I men’s hockey programs announced Friday, June 28, that they plan to leave the WCHA to form a new conference that would begin play with the 2021-22 season.
The schools that plan to leave are Bemidji State University, Bowling Green State University, Ferris State University, Lake Superior State University, Michigan Tech University, Minnesota State University Mankato and Northern Michigan University. The WCHA has 10 men’s programs. The three schools that would be left in the WCHA are Alabama-Huntsville, the University of Alaska and Alaska-Anchorage.
The WCHA released a statement from men’s commissioner Bill Robertson late Friday afternoon.
“While this news is disappointing, the WCHA will work to assure that any members that do withdraw do so in accordance with WCHA Bylaws,” he said.
In a news release from the institutions sent out by Morris Kurtz, an athletics consultant, states that the teams plan to play the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons in the WCHA but have each independently submitted formal Letters of Notice to the WCHA to initiate the withdrawal process.
Kurtz is a former athletic director at St. Cloud State University and then spent 2 1/2 years as interim assistant athletic director for intercollegiate hockey and rugby at Penn State before leaving that position in 2015. Kurtz was athletic director at St. Cloud State when the men’s hockey program moved up from NCAA Division III to NCAA Division I.
In the release, it states that the presidents, athletic directors and coaches from the seven schools will not comment on the decision to leave the conference. Kurtz did not immediately return phone calls after the release was sent out.
The WCHA had 12 men’s hockey teams until 2013. In 2013, Minnesota and Wisconsin left the WCHA to be two of the six teams in the Big Ten hockey conference and Colorado College, Denver, Minnesota Duluth, Nebraska Omaha, North Dakota and St. Cloud State left the WCHA to be six of the eight teams in the NCHC.
The WCHA has been in existence as a men’s hockey conference since 1951.
The WCHA also has a women’s conference with seven programs: Bemidji State, Minnesota, Minnesota Duluth, Minnesota State-Mankato, Ohio State, St. Cloud State and Wisconsin. The WCHA has had a women’s conference since 1999.

For better or worse, your last sentence says it all. Until the Big Ten drops its rule of requiring schools to belong to the AAU, there's not much anybody can do.Angry Waters wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 7:33 pmThere are lots of things I don't understand about the NCAA.
