Trade 1st for Stephon Gilmore

Trade 1st for Stephon Gilmore
Patriots are trying to trade All Pro CB Stephon Gilmore before the 4pm trade deadline today.
New England says they want a first round pick in return.
Gilmore was the defensive player of the year last year
Vikings are probably gonna be 5-11, 7-9 at best so our pick is probably 10 range. Do you even trust Spielman to draft a QB?

It is a fallacy to suggest that Rick shouldn't be in charge of drafting the next QB.

And no I don't do this trade. Makes no sense for us.
I'm not taking into consideration drafting a QB either as I don't think that will happen. I just don't want another big contract and a guy who is 30 years old.

Reported Gilmore put his Massachusetts home on the market and Patriots want a 1st for him.
1st and Kyle Rudolph should do it.

Minnesota Vikings send 2021 1st round pick & Kyle Rudolph to the New England Patriots for All Pro & Defensive Player of the Year CB Stephon Gilmore. That moves Irv Smith into starting tight end. Danielle Hunter, Michael Pierce, Anthony Barr return next season. MN would be elite

Not at his age and where the Vikings are at. Adding Gilmore to this team next year doesn't make them championship caliber. Harris expiring 12 million. Rudy’s 10 million gone. That’s 22 million freed up. Vikings Defense would be Gilmore, Gladney, Danztler. Harrison, Barr, Kendricks, Hunter, Pierce.
Offense: Kirk, Dalvin, Irv, Theilen, Jefferson.
No rebuild. We stay competing!

Still don't want Gilmore. There is no way and hell you give up a 1st when you are sitting at 2-5 for player who will be 31 next year.
Imagine if this team finshed 3-13 and has a shot at one of the top QBs and you traded it away for a CB who will be 31 next year.
That's next level stupidity.

With Kirk stuck here for two season. Might as well go all in for super bowl

You are a treat. So, like I said, of course you would give them a fucking 3rd for the best corner in the league.
And your ripping this asinine notion of giving them a #1 is spot on. I will be shocked if anyone gives any #1 and certainly wont be a #1 and a player. Only if there is a legit post season team with a big corner injury or something.
Its beyond ludicrous to suggest a 2-5 team should dole out a #1 for a 30 year old corner. This has to be tongue in cheek or a bit or something.

But he will. Just bump his threads from the draft. This year he had an entire thread explaining to us all why we should never draft a quarterback. There is no bigger Rick supporter here than Ash. As long as Rick Spielman is our GM we are not going to win a Super Bowl! If he does I will never post in this site again and my last post will be a full apology for how wrong I was.
Rick Spielman has ruined this team by neglect.
