Yup. It's awful, plus the local rock station 93X plays this song like 3-4 times per day for some reason. I don't get it.

Loved watching these a few months ago. It was fun seeing people react to stuff for the first time, that you've heard millions of times. It was like listening to those songs again for the first time with someone else. But after a while, I was finding some of them hard to believe. It was a mixed bag.

Are there white people out there that listen to classic rap songs? I went through a rap phase in the early 90s so have some knowledge of all that stuff, but other people never heard of NWA.

Early to late 90s rap is about all the rap I know. I'm aware of some of the newer stuff, but never really dig into it like NWA, Public Enemy, Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest, etc. I would guess those of us who grew up in the 90s still listen to that more than anyone growing up now. I would guess most people under 18 largely consume music made within a year or so of it's release and it's considered ancient beyond that.

Yes! The cover sucks. Do you know why? Because Disturbed aren't artful or talented enough to ever come up with a song that profound and impactful on their own. Do you want to cover it live-in-concert? Go for it, hand out that Junk Food (as Corey Taylor calls it) to your fans at THAT show. "Holy shit! We saw Disturbed last night in Apache Junction, and they did Sound of Silence. It was sick!".

Putting it on your album, GFY. This isn't Proud Mary with Tina & Ike and CCR.

Agree. Forty year old dudes acting like they've never heard Van Halen before. GTFO. It's so disingenuous. Time for someone, like Night Train, to go around with a camera and a boombox and some headphones, and serve up a curated mixtape of songs to randoms on the street after very carefully and harshly stereotyping.

This might be my favorite one. Sure, it's a 40+ year old guy reacting to rock music, but he's a pastor. And, it's a pretty edgy song as it pertains to God.
