Craigslist finds
This thread is for sharing Craigslist (or other similar classifieds sites) garage related finds
It could be funny, preposterous, great deals, shitty deals, interesting...whatever.
I'll start
https://eauclaire.craigslist.org/cto/d/ ... 06299.html
Found this when I was window shopping to see if I could find a decent Evo locally.
This is a heavily modified Evo 8. According to the post, 621hp 555ft lbs at 40psi
$28,500

Re: Craigslist finds
I'm a sucker for convertibles with manual transmissions. Since most convertibles have two doors, it goes without saying that I think four-door cars are fugly.
As such, I found this.
https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ ... 24623.html
I just don't have $10K of disposable currency sitting around at the moment, but I doubt if the asking price is much of a bargain anyway.

Re: Craigslist finds
A +20 year old Miata with +150k miles will still go for $6k minimum, for some reason. A good condition, lower mile NA will fetch 5 figures easily. It's kind of like that across all 2 seater convertibles. The Lizard King wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 10:53 am I'm a sucker for convertibles with manual transmissions. Re: Craigslist finds
I've always liked the early to mid-60s Chevy Novas. The fact that this one is an SS with a Muncie 4-speed transmission makes it very desirable in my book. Unfortunately, the price is way out of my budget for a "classic car" like this one.

Re: Craigslist finds
So Cobey... Is this 7-year old vehicle with 108K miles on it really worth $14K?
I think not.

14K is a little high. That car could be found sub 20K new. I do think they'll keep their value pretty well now that Ford has exited that market in the US though. The Lizard King wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 12:25 am So Cobey... Is this 7-year old vehicle with 108K miles on it really worth $14K?

Re: Craigslist finds
This ad description made me chuckle. If the story is true, then it's probably not a bad deal -- for a salvage-titled car. $3,500 asking price.

I've always wanted to learn how to drive a Ford Model A. This one is very nice as it has the Mitchell overdrive transmission, seat belts, and turn signals already installed.

I always liked the Holden-built, Pontiac GTOs. The 2004s had the 5.7 L, 350 hp LS1 motor, but both the 2005s and 2006s had the 6.0 L, 400 hp LS2 motor and the dual hood scoops, which just look cool.
This particular one is a 2005. I don't know if $10K is a good price for one with 132K miles (sounds like it's overpriced), but I like the color and the fact that it's a 6-speed.

I heard one recently in the parking lot while standing in line at the local DMV. These things have a nice exhaust tone to them.

All of that era's GTOs are overpriced, unfortunately. I'd enjoy the hell out of that car though. I'd go through so many tires though. The Lizard King wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 7:03 pm I always liked the Holden-built, Pontiac GTOs. Re: Craigslist finds
Recently bought a front and rear bumper for my Bronco from an ad on Facebook Marketplace down in Phoenix. Had my dad go pick them up since he lives there. New the front costs $689 and the rear is $629. Got them both for $300 total!
They look like this but I'll probably paint them silver:
