I read over the weekend he has a ton of interest... and think it's safe to say he really wants to play on a tourney team... not sure if Minnesota qualifies for that but hey, come here and help them make the tournament... right?

Freeman was a project when he committed here. Heading to California to play for Damon Stoudemire might be a good situation for him, I would hope his only goal at this point is to get minutes. Who wants to go to another high major and not play much?

Gophers had to go to low major teams to grab guard depth for this upcoming season.

He was likely bringing Emanuel Miller with him who was Texas A&M's leading scorer this season. Miller is a stud and would have made the Gophers much more competitive next season. McNeilly was also going to bring his nephew, Cashius, with him who is another talented, young player.

All three guys are from Canada where Jamie McNeilly has a lot of recruiting connections. Canada is becoming fairly rich in basketball talent.

This one hurts.

There's no real info but seems like he didn't pass a background/compliance check. That seemed to drag on with the first two assistants as well.

Seems like it's slowed down now because you have to match up exactly who you want with those last remaining scholarships. The A&M assistant coach was likely bringing two guys in -- I expected those guys + one more guy who could play center. Next domino is Steffon Mitchell -- sounds like Wisconsin is after him. I heard Parker Fox on an interview saying he's recruiting hard for Ben going forward.

There is absolutely no enthusiasm. This might just be the rock bottom of this program right now. Team is going to be absolutely terrible this coming season when the fan fare is already at an all time low. Yikes! I would hate to be trying to sell tickets to this thing.

He's working the 2022 kids hard already... that's what he was hired for.. recruit local kids.

Pitino inherited a team that just won a tournament game and had the Hollins boys. That would be like getting Carr and Kalscheur back.
