I've said this for a few weeks now...when KAT went down, Dieng has played himself into a tradeable asset. His contract isn't so terrible each month that passes by, he's played well when called upon and GS is severely lacking in competent bigs. Covington is the main piece, but a base package around Cov and Dieng make a lot of sense for GS. They will have a top 3 pick to add to a starting lineup of:
Curry
Thompson
Roco
Green
Dieng

The question is, what young pieces are they wanting. Culver won't be in play....but is our protected first involved, do they like Oke, Diop or Naz?

So having leverage to recoup value won't not exist if we wait, taking away the point really, but I don't like sending out a pick to a team when we are making them better. If I were looking at something I might offer a 2022 pick swap. It keeps us in the draft a flyer might fall to the back half, GS might have a chance at a higher pick in the double draft. That and probably a 2nd.

I don't know that it will be much more as far as players go than Covington and Dieng for Russell and Evans. The Warriors are hard capped and a deal including Okogie might be hard. But I have not done the math on it so I could be wrong.
