Thrilling series. One of the better ones in numerous years, and barely anyone is watching.
MLB needs to market their talent better.
Most people couldn't tell you a player on either team.
That goes for most baseball teams anymore.
The average person doesn't even know the top players on the Yankees even.
Agree with the premise of your statement. They definitely need to market their top players more.
But to say most people couldn't tell you a player from either team is a huge stretch...anyone who pays attention to baseball knows who Verlander, Greinke, Altuve, Correa, Strasburg, Scherzer...etc...etc... are. And for the Yankees, people definitely know who Aaron Judge is.
Ya "Who pays attention to baseball" that's the point, hardly anyone does anymore.
Even if you don't pay attention to the NBA, you have probably heard of Lebron James etc..
If you follow pro bowling you know who the bowlers are.

Great Series. I love baseball. All baseball fans enjoyed this World Series.

Strasburg got keys to a brand new Corvette. He probably already knew he was getting it but you and me would be like contestants on the Price Is Right game show going ape shat crazy jumping up and down, even crying. Strasburg just smiles and says "thanks" like it's really no big deal since he is worth multiple millions and already owns several fancy cars. It makes me sick.

Another tough luck franchise gets to celebrate a championship. Will it ever be our turn (Twins, Vikings, Wild)?
Maybe if the Twins ponied up and brought in the likes of Corbin and Scherzer, we could share in their fate one day.

They felt no need to improve their starting pitching staff which is strange.
Juan Soto of the Nationals was age 20 not long ago (now age 21) and the interviewer says he's the only player who still lives with his parents. I don't really care because maybe he is from another country and wants his parents with him. Is it his house or their house ?
Is the guy broke $ or something ? LOL. Surely they pay rookies something.
strasburg delivering on all that potential on the biggest stage and i think he's a deserving MVP. this puts to bed the controversy about saving his arm all those years ago. greinke brought it too in a game seven-but it wasn't enough. congrats to the nationals and their fans.
it was a great baseball season. twins had a historic year that hopefully they can build on and the stanks and dodgers didn't get even get to the WS.
how long before pitchers and catchers report in 2020? i can hardly wait.
this is the historical story of this year's WS imo.
The Washington Nationals have clinched their first World Series title after defeating the host Houston Astros 6-2 in Game 7 on Wednesday night at Minute Maid Park. This is the first time in World Series history that the road team has won every game.
The Yankees had to go up against a better team who's owner said, "WE BELIEVE IN YOU!" by spending at the trade deadline. You tend to make errors when you feel outclassed.
When the Yankees played us they probably said, "Their owner doesn't even believe in them because he chose not to buy at the trade deadline" and they knew they could win and weren't scared of the lowly, weak pay-rolled Twins. Thus, played great.
Zack Greinke said he would only accept a trade to Houston. Stop making up stories to fit your tired narrative.
When have I ever said anything about the Twins getting Zack Greinke? Why is it that you keep going back to this same argument when this is now going to like the 5th time I'm telling you, I know all about the Greinke thing and don't fault the Twins for not acquiring him because they had no shot. Why do you keep bringing that up? Is it because you know I'm right and this is the only defense you have?
Take your own advice and stop making up stories to fit your tired narrative.
You made a the comment about the owners saying "WE BELIEVE IN YOU!" when in fact every contending team would have offered the same or more to get Greinke. Greinke chose the Astros not the other way around.
