Mine and thousands of other Twins fans expectations of this team went away when they sat on their hands at the trade deadline. They completely pissed away a special offense. You better believe that the lineup gave up after game #1 too. The pitching staff is/was a joke. But don't worry, 100 win seasons grow on trees.

Only reason I disagree with this is that the deals at the deadline sucked. "Iffy" players cost too much. You had to trade away your future for a dude that may suck. The off season is the time to get pitchers/players. You may over pay, but don't have to give up talent to do so. Pohlad has plenty of money if he wants to spend it. The deadline is fine for one emergency piece. We needed way more than that.Small Hands wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2019 8:30 am Mine and thousands of other Twins fans expectations of this team went away when they sat on their hands at the trade deadline. I’d agree in hindsight. Seeing them play the Yankees they were not going to beat them even with Strohman &/or mad bum. But the problem is their prospects may not work out and now that their windows open I see them sitting on prospects because they are cheap and not acquiring top talent that they need to win a WS. It’s the Pohlad way. That’s why this org sucks and I don’t want them to win. They don’t deserve it. And it’s no wonder top free agents have them on their no trade list. Who wants to play for a team owned by a huge piece of shit who only wants to play for AL Central titles every few years.Ski wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2019 12:13 pmOnly reason I disagree with this is that the deals at the deadline sucked.
