I still like how the schedule sets up the rest of the way. This team embarrasses bad pitching. The Replacements wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 10:05 amIs everyone having as much fun as I am? I know the usual suspects like to complain about everything but this is going to be a wild ride to the finish

pennant races are always fun. Time to strap on the homer hats cheer the home team on!
btw, FOX - I don't need to see a Cleveland game continuous score flash on the Twins game until at least mid September.

Every game I'm extremely tense. It makes a far more exciting season. Wins are a relief. The Replacements wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 10:05 amIs everyone having as much fun as I am? I know the usual suspects like to complain about everything but this is going to be a wild ride to the finish
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.

once you get sucked into a baseball season the intensity level starts ratcheting up right about now. it's been pretty much a playoff type atmosphere with this team since the braves came into town last week. and the indians certainly aren't going to go away. they good. it'll be fun-but tension filled fun. like a roller-coaster ride.FLYING_FINN'SSIDEKICK wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 11:12 amExactly its so much more fun caring in August and September!!!salamander wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2019 10:22 pmEvery game I'm extremely tense. the indians have outscored the stanks by 12 runs and are down 2-1 in the series. twins up by 2.5 now. more than they were before the "big" four game series with the tribe.

After today, the Twins have 13 games with the White Sox and Tigers. Time to build some momentum.

they have nobody to blame but themselves if they don't. i didn't know the stanks record was that good. they might be too far ahead to catch even if the twins bury the stiffs in the division. and i doubt houston's going to catch them either. looks like it'd be the astros in the first round of the playoffs if they win the division. The Replacements wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 7:37 am After today, the Twins have 13 games with the White Sox and Tigers. i bet new york doesn't want to face the indians in round one.

Re: UNLOCK THE OBJECTS IN YOUR MIRROR THREAD!
The Yankees will likely have the best record in the AL at seasons end. However, their pitching is such a wild card and will not be heavy favorites to advance. You have to like the Astros more with their top 3 starters.weimy froob wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 7:48 amthey have nobody to blame but themselves if they don't. i didn't know the stanks record was that good. they might be too far ahead to catch even if the twins bury the stiffs in the division. and i doubt houston's going to catch them either. looks like it'd be the astros in the first round of the playoffs if they win the division. The Replacements wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 7:37 am After today, the Twins have 13 games with the White Sox and Tigers. Re: UNLOCK THE OBJECTS IN YOUR MIRROR THREAD!
well that's the thing-i think the twins have a better chance against the skanks. new york had a good recipe to beat the indians yesterday though. got five innings from their starter and then went to the BP for an inning apiece. they only gave up one run and it was a 1-2-3 9th for chapman. with their bats they'll still be a tough out in the playoffs if that formula continues to deliver. The Replacements wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2019 9:29 amThe Yankees will likely have the best record in the AL at seasons end. i think the indians are pretty good. and they're built for the post-season. i bet stanks fans don't want to face them after what they saw this weekend. they could have been swept and were outscored by 16 runs.
