Whiteside is in a good situation this year. He could surprise.

This is a great pick. I thought about him in round 5 and was hoping he'd fall to me in round 6. He's already freakishly good on defense and still has massive defensive upside.bombers3shooter wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2019 8:17 am
With the 123rd pick of the Froob NBA draft the Miami Heat select Jonathan Isaac combo forward! Here is an upside pick of a guy whose defense is certainly ahead of his offense, but when he got comfortable in really his first year of playing in an NBA offense post All-Star break he went on to hit 38% of his three pointers. 6'10 with a 7'1 wingspan is a guy that has perennial NBA All Defense written all over him. Also is a virgin so no need to worry about the late season weak legs. Really like him in small all lineups with LaMarcus Aldridge playing center. Really have alot of versatility with the players I got here!
C Jonas Valanciunas/LaMarcus Aldridge
PF LaMarcus Aldridge/Jonathan Isaac/Justise Winslow
SF Justise Winslow/Luka Doncic/Jonathan Isaac
SG Luka Doncic/D'Angelo Russell
PG D'angelo Russell/Luka Doncic/Justise Winslow

Re: ***Official 19' Froob Annual NBA Draft***Pick#123 B3S
He is very explosive. When a player his age makes as much of an impact on defense as he did really in his first season (hurt all but 25 games with limited mins rook year) I get excited about what exactly he could be. Obviously injuries could derail everything, but he was very impressive on both sides of the ball during the Magics stretch run which turned out being a big part of why they made the playoffs last year. I wish the Magic would move Aaron Gordon and move Isaac to their full time PF. He would be one of the front runners for Most Improved Player next year I think if that move happened.Hoop Dreams wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2019 10:43 amThis is a great pick. whew.
thought i might get sniped, but all's okay. which would have been fine because i was excited about Plan B as well. but anyway....
with the 125th pick in the Froobsville Draftacularganza, the Atlanta Hawks select G Landry Shamet.
Shamet came into the league last year as the "2nd" best potential shooter in the draft behind trae young - but clearly outperformed young in long range marksmanship by the time all the stats were compiled (shamet nearly a full 10 % points better - 42.2% to 32.4%). the guy's the real deal from deep. this year, spotting up for kawhi and paul george, he figures to get as many or more good looks to knock down.
the rap on him has been athleticism, but shamet is one of those super heady players that gets around it with effort and smarts. he's not a player who will ever hurt his team being on the floor. plus he played PG in college and has said he wants to get back to that slot occasionally so he brings more positional flexibility to my squad.
C- DeMarcus Cousins / Larry Nance Jr.
PF - Larry Nance Jr. / Joe Ingles
SF - Joe Ingles / Paul George
SG - Paul George / Landry Shamet / Jrue Holiday
PG - Jrue Holiday / Landry Shamet

The Oklahoma City Thunder select Forward Thaddeus Young. Feel really good to get him here. One of the better defensive forwards in the NBA last season. Fits my defensive versatility mantra as well.

With the 127th pick, the Orlando Magic select Jae Crowder
Love his toughness and defensive versatility. He can start or be a valuable piece off the bench to close out games.
PG - De'Aaron Fox
SG - Donovan Mitchell
SF - Kevin Huerter/Jae Crowder
PF - Aaron Gordon/Jae Crowder
C - Steven Adams

Getting pretty shitty out there. I see a few decent guys left, but I'll take a stat padder on a bad team.
Ash selects - Colin Sexton
Add some more firepower to the lineup. Sexton came on strong the 2nd half and shoots 40% from 3. He'll have a chip on his shoulder since Cleveland decided to take another pg this draft.

With the 132nd and 133rd picks the San Antonio Spurs select Dwight Powell and Terrence Ross. Both add good position flexibility to the bench.
According to my totally objective, math based rankings, Powell was 27th in the league last year per my metric. Which means I should probably change my metric, but, still, ok, yeah... He's a phenomenal PnR lob target, one of the best in the league, along with Gobert, playing with one of the best PnR point guards in Kemba.
Terrence Ross was one of the best spot up shooters in the league last year with a 62.6% eFG% in such situations, making our spread PnR game even scarier.
C - Rudy Gobert/Dwight Powell
PF - Lauri Markkanen
SF - Joe Harris/Terrence Ross
SG - Malcolm Brogdon
PG - Kemba Walker
