Hate the owners. Love the twins. They can be mutually exclusive. Things are just falling in place, with owners like the Pohlads that needs to happen with a little luck for us to have great seasons like this one.
Spending so much time and effort to rip owners is a waste of time. The Pohlad's are cheap. Most owners are cheap. I live in Chicago and the Bears, Bulls and White Sox owners suck. I would rather worry about players performances.
I can do both. Easily. I will never lay off shitty ownership of a team I love. Ever.
Complaining about fans not liking that the owners are, in fact, cheap is what I consider a waste of time.
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.

You're right. I should ignore 80% of the crap people post here.
Possible in house call ups that may help the bullpen:
- Jake Reed (Triple AAA Rochester)
- Jorge Alcala - big fastball and good strikeout numbers
- Jordan Balazovic - really good this year but may not want to start the clock on him just yet
- Brusdar Graterol - not sure he's pitched lately but if healthy he could help
Anyone more familiar with the system have better choices? A lot of these top guys are young and inexperienced.

This year is different. Moves will be made and you naysayers will be eatin crow!
Moves will most definitely be made. It won't be for an ace and legit closer though. Twins don't make those moves. In your words "Evah".
I don't see them trading for a SP at all actually. They're going to ride Odorizzi until the fucking wheels fall off. I think they'll trade for a BP arm that folks in here won't be happy with.

RHP Sean Poppen and Ryan Mason both have thrown well out of the pen this year.
I haven't even read this thread, but I'm sure it mostly if not entirely bitching about how cheap the Pohlad's are so I'll just cut to the chase. Off the top of my head here are a few closers and a few starters I think the Twins could realistically grab.
Bullpen Will Smith
Sean Doolittle
Blake Trienen
Shane Greene
Starters: Mike Minor
Marcus Stroman
Zach Wheeler
Matthew Boyd

If the moves are Stroman/Giles and Liriano, I'd be just fine with it. You want more, but those are realistic. If they have designs on more, make your move sooner rather than later.

Twins win the WS 4 games to 1....
Salamander posts if it wasn't for the cheap ass owners it would've been a sweep.
(Who here can't see that post?)
That's ridiculous. Stop being a troll.

Will Smith?
Hell, if he can save the world....a MLB game should be no problem.

Yankees trade Edwin Encarnacion for a bag of chips.
Great. Rich get richer.
No we didnt want or need Edwin. But road to world series did get tougher.
Trades have started. Hopefully twins will jump in sooner than later.
I don't really get this trade from a Yankee point of view. Do they intend to DH EE and play Stanton exclusively in the outfield? He gives them what they already have in abundance: right handed power.
EE to Houston would have been a more logical fit.

Why are folks so excited for Madison Bumgarner but some of those same people shitted on Dallas Keuchel? Look at their numbers the last 2 seasons. What makes Bumgarner better? Plus you’re giving up prospects for him. I’m not against acquiring Bumgarner at all just weird the hype for him compared to Keuchel.
