Oh my God shut the f****** about Joe Mauer Richard. He averaged nine home runs a year, 60 runs, and 55 RBIs and batted a lil over 300. if Joe Mauer hadn't played in the dome on that cement infield where his 18 Hoppers got through , he wouldn't even be a career 300 hitter.

Precisely you hit the nail on the head. If he would have been playing a New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, he would have been booed out of town a long time ago. The fact they are retiring his number is an absolute disgrace and would have never been done in any other City.Wall of Sound wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 8:24 pmbut... but...but hes one of usD_H wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 8:13 pm Oh my God shut the f****** about Joe Mauer Richard. I love it when Common tried to hook Rosie into admitting that Joe took steroids on his contract year

What a weird AB by Polanco. Let him hit. Or maybe it was him He’s hitting 340. Why even think about bunting there?

Terrible execution by Polanco. All he had to was put the ball in play or coax a walk.

I think the Rogers pitching the 9th was the right call. If it was still a 0-0 game I think Gibson would be out there for the 9th.
Helluva win!

Solid win. Good teams win these sort of games. Bad teams don't. I like being on this end of them for a change.

I'm sure Gibson would've come back out..
He was at 88 pitches..
easily could throw another 20.
Once they had the lead?
If Rogers is sitting there? You use him...game over.

The boys on the radio talked to 'Tater post-game. 'Tater said the initial plan was for Gibby to start the 9th, then he was going in against Hamilton. Obviously Garv knocked it and then Rogers went in for the save.

Explain LBJ weekend? Lyndon Baines Johnson or LeBron James? I didn't know LBJ had a weekend, he's not exactly one of the more popular presidents.jakazz30 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 4:46 pm Lineups for 6/14

Wah-Hoo!! What a fun team!
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.
