Gear Head Car Guys
What this gonna run me all said and done?? I can get the car itself for $600
CLEAN TITLE. Differential is bad. I've owned this car for a little over a year. It's always been a reliable car. All fluids have been changed. Transmission was shifting good, no slip in gears. Passenger CV shaft is not balancing right so it's a sloppy ride. Will need a new brake line. Struts & coils are worn, tires are worn. Needs new valve cover gaskets & new spark plugs. Previous owner maintained it as well. No frame rot. Old parts are included.
I've invested in over $1500 while owning this car. Have all the reciepts. Some of the parts replaced....
Front control arms/ball joints (Mevotech)
Front Sway bar end links/bushings (Moog)
Inner/outer tie rods (Moog)
Front Calipers/rotors/pads (Napa premium)
Front wheel bearings (Napa)
Spark plug wires( AC Delco)
Battery (AC Delco)
Mainly all the motor sensors have been replaced (AC Delco & BWD)
All emission hoses have been replaced (AC Delco)
Surpintine belt & Supercharger belt (Gates)
Idler belt tensioner assembly (BWD)
Alot of other parts replaced....
Intake has a small leak, needs a new intake bolt. Never got around to replacing the intake bolt but replaced lower intake manifold gasket (AC Delco Revised Aluminum gasket along with TB gasket & SC gasket.(AC Delco)
Car runs/drives but suggest fixing before further damage occurs. Will need to be towed out. Needs new plates. Simply do not have the time to fix. This car is perfect for someone who is mechanically inclined.

It's gonna cost you more than it's worth.

Ish...overweight, underpowered electronic nightmare.
The Buick Regal GS of the same vintage is a better (not much) option.

Intake leak is a worry. COuld be a bolt fixes it, but more likely there is warping that a bolt wont fix... especially the fact it has been run like that for so long. Why hasnt he done this easy fix?
Differential and CV needing replacement and other listed issues tells me it was run hard... real hard.

Take your $600 and invest it in adding some more buoyancy to the pontoon boat.
