Take this for whats it worth, but my neighbor has a cousin who works for the purple. Word is, Theilen has been becoming increasingly disenfranchised with the Vikes due to his contract, and more importantly Diggs contract.

I guess this all stems from he was starting to be given daily updates on Brison's posts here on RC. Coming into the season he was happy and knew he was one half of a dynamic duo of WRs and part of the perhaps the best starting tandem in the league. Slowly, however, he began realizing from Brison's posts that he actually is clearly the best WR we have, and Diggs shouldnt have gotten more money than he did, and what a colossal mistake it was to have paid Diggs that kind of money.

I am hearing he may now holdout if we dont address the contract, or unless Brison tells him its ok Diggs got paid.

You sure? It seems like a pretty solid reference, based on a totally logical scenario.

We don't know for sure. But he was so natural in his response I was impressed. Maybe he's a good liar and in comparison if he has another solid season then he deserves a pay raise. Not every player is all about the money though. Gotta remember this guycomes from a small MN town and plays for his favorite team and his current pay scale trumps any of us. If he invests 1 million of his 5 he could live off the interest. Not every player is cut from the same cloth but if he ends up asking for a similar contract I would not blame him.

It might be because Thielen is allegedly is Minnesota. Jack Buck today mentioned that he thought Thielen was from Minnesota and that Thielen went to college in Minnesota. Maybe they are having a hard time understanding each other or getting along because they are from different worlds.
