The no. 2 pick Zach Wilson + a 7th round pick was traded for a 6th round pick. Plus the Jets agreed to pay half of Wilson salary.

The Cowboys traded a 4th round pick for the no. 3 overall pick Trey Lance.

The Steelers traded a 6th rounder to get the 11th pick Justin Fields.

The 15th pick Mac Jones also was traded for a 6th round pick from the Jaguars.

Of the 5 first round QBs, only the no. 1 pick Trevor Lawrence is still on the team that drafted him. He’s the best QB of that draft class, but hasn’t exactly lived up to his pre draft hype.

But comparing all these trades, it look's like the Cowboys overpaid.

I cant tell if its a good or a bad thing that teams now give up on high pick QBs so early.

On the one hand, you dont waste 5 years hoping that Ponder could turn it around.

on the other hand, you might actually be giving up on these guys too early
