A powerful tackle-breaking runner after the catch as well. Nice 17.6 yards per catch on 41 receptions his senior year at Pitt.

Pitt runs a play with Means as a decoy on a bubble screen. He does it so lackadaisical that it should be embarrassing to him. But apparently not. I don't know if it is ego or what, but sometimes these kids can't take the opportunities that are given to them because they refuse to understand they are not the top dogs anymore.

I really don't get sniped. I draft from a set of players that were identified long before I select, in fact from a plan laid out from the beginnin of the draft. Plus in a "real" draft I would have maneuvered to get him way before that pick.

Gotta love a QB with a name like Kedon Slovis. Almost drafted him - not because of his name, but because I had him rated as the top QB left on the board. But I do love the name. Sort of picturing a Tim Blake Nelson type with a thick southern drawl - "Hidee, my name is Kedon Slovis?"

I said he is who I would have picked with the next pick. If that is a snipe I guess. But I draft from a plan I lay out from the beginning of the draft. Thomas was an alternative player in the plan. He eas still available late in draft.

And if I wanted him I would have created the draft asset map to draft him.

After each pick I reevaluate the plan. I expected Taylor to be picked more in the 90-100 range and I decided to alter the plan to take him pushing down the offensive linemen. Laumea was picked before I could draft again.

I think 129 was a bit rich for Nourzad and in a real draft I would have traded down a bit to get an extra pick.

I traded the last two picks to move up to take Bell because I wanted that weird versatility because I love those concepts of offensive gadget players.

I took Trey Taylor for the Rams before 225.

One interesting note about that planning is if I would have been able to take Laumea at 157 (he was selected at 151), I probably would have taken the kicker in the 6th round even if Brennan Jackson was available. I actually started a paper on the game theory of a draft and I called that a contingent round/position preference meaning I would pick Jackson ahead of Karty until I thought the availability of Karty would be jeopardized, then the preference for him increased because I wanted a kicker in the draft more than a late round edge player.
