I read an article the other day where they said Stanley Black & Decker is a good buy right now. I might buy some. I coincidentally used an electric sander made by them over the weekend. It's a quality sander.

just checked. it's at 80 and change. put in an order to fill at 70 bucks good til cancel and see what happens.

it didn't fill on the last drop--but it came close. it still might.

closed at the day's high today. i just checked it after seeing that the market had a good day. hasn't got the speed to bust thru 90 yet--i thought it might today--but if the market has another good month in february i suspect it will.

back near yesterday's close as there's plenty of selling going into the strength as the numbers are digested. the important thing is that it isn't tanking. we'll see how it closes.

edit: 1.3 million shares traded in the first hour and it's at 93.41 now. daily volume is 1.88 million shares.

i got in a little early--but ending the first half of 2023 10 points up on the buy with the third dividend check to be added to the account as well. this is a long-term buy (planning on holding for at least four more years)--but so far so good.
