I think that would be pretty badass if they successfully make the leap to D1. There's plenty of hockey and basketball talent to help support their efforts to be competitive. They've got a pretty damn good track record overall to help them pull the athletes to make the leap as well. GL to them on their quest for approval.

I've always wished that Mankato would step up. Hockey is already there. Football has been damn solid for a long time. They have some quality facilities and the campus has grown and is pretty decent. They're building a dome thing for practices, etc. They'd need a stadium redo for football, buy anything is possible, right?

Anything to keep some mid major basketball talent home and see them perform well. There is so much basketball talent in state, I would hope some of these kids go to St Thomas over the Drake's, Dakota's, Wofford's etc.

Step up in what way? They're now Div 1 in hockey with a fairly brand new arena. Do you mean for the FB BB teams to go Div 1? I don't think they could/should to be honest.
